Function Overview

Our Sales team epitomizes the entrepreneurial spirit that has defined Dyson since day one: ambitious, commercially savvy and strategically agile. 

We work with some of the world’s biggest retailers, implementing the most profitable long term business plans and driving innovative ways to put our technology into more hands. 

It requires managing multiple networks of Dyson people and overseeing many different retail areas – from in store fixtures to online activation. It takes ownership, courage and tough negotiations. Being constantly driven to see clearer solutions and drive better sales.


Reporting into the National Account Manager, the Account Manager will be responsible for the tactical direction and support of the strategic sales plans for the accounts. You will play a key role in growing Dyson sales volume, revenue, gross margin and Dyson market share in consumer products in New Zealand. 

In this role you will be responsible for: 
  • Contributing to and executing channel strategies that optimise retail opportunities and Dyson profitability in line with New Zealand goal
  • Developing Joint Business Plans (JBP) with top customers and supporting the negotiation of annual terms and commercial agreements enabling first class execution of Dyson plans within New Zealand retailers
  • Assisting the National Account Manager in preparing for new product launches
  • Creating accurate monthly customer volume forecasts taking into account sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, NPD and product exits to manage costs and maximise profitability 
  • Working cross functionally with the Retail Marketing and Digital Marketing teams to shape and influence our strategy for how our products are merchandised and presented in store, on the internet and in catalogue

  • Previous experience in account management
  • Success working with and contributing to a high performing sales team
  • Excellent relationship building and business presentation skills
  • An energetic, engaging and positive approach
  • Exposure to senior level account negotiations
