Description and Requirements

As the Brand Manager you will be accountable for the Floorcare category within the UK. Working with the Head of Floorcare, you will drive strategies that deliver high category performance in terms of both profitability and brand reputation, short and long term growth. 

Market Overview:

Dyson HQ is home to over 4000 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Accountabilities:

  • Your role as Brand Manager Floorcare will be to translate the global category strategy into a local strategy; clarifying the approach to maximise own market’s opportunity within the context of global plans
  • You will be responsible for analysing customer data and shopper insight in order to establish new opportunities across the Floorcare category
  • You will be the in-market category advocate, continuously championing its value and commercial potential for the GB market and the wider Dyson business; developing the ambition, energy, ideas and tools needed by the market’s marketing and sales teams to reach the best possible commercial outcomes from the category
  • You’ll collaborate with the relevant Global Category teams and other key functions (Digital, Owner Experience, Retail and Events) to create excellence in category execution
  • With a commercial focus, you will open new business opportunities by taking a ‘business development’ approach where appropriate

Skills:

  • Coming in to this role, you will have held a category brand management role for a market leading consumer business
  • You will have extensive experience of driving product strategy on a local scale, and have experience working with central marketing functions
  • You will have been at the forefront of driving customer engagement and thought leadership within your recent roles
  • You'll also have a proven ability to build cross-functional relationships and deliver results through aligned business functions
  • As our Brand Manager, you will have the ability to challenge the status quo, and deliver innovating solutions to the problems that we face
