Function Overview:

The End User Services Team delivers world class Service Desk and End User Computing Services to Dyson’s global employees (circa 11,500 users), they act to ensure that ITIL aligned governance and standards are adhered to across all aspects of IT globally. Focusing on driving continual improvement into the end user services space in light with Dyson’s growth, the team establish and maintain strong relationships with the business, ensuring regular communication of service requirements, service improvements, risks, service changes, service outages and service issues.

Accountabilities:

  • The solution architectural ownership of all collaboration technologies.
  • Working alongside our strategic End User Computing Partner, defining, creating and maintaining the strategy and roadmap for all collaboration technologies to ensure that it delivers in line with the needs of the Dyson end user.
  • Working closely alongside other Architects across other IT Service towers such as Applications, Security, Infrastructure and Data as well as the business to identify, recommend, develop and support cost-effective, high performing collaboration solutions for all aspects of the Dyson organisation.
  • Owning and delivering against a collaboration roadmap
  • Creating high and low level collaboration technology designs
  • Reviewing any collaboration technical designs and recommendations from our EUC partner
  • Supporting the EUC Manager to ensure that Dyson’s collaboration technolgy offering remains fit for purpose
  • Supporting Dyson’s Business Partners and Service Delivery Managers in ensuring Collobaration Services deliver in line with expectations.
  • Delivering Collaboration technology showcases to Dyson
  • Assisting with the preparation of business cases for collaboration services related projects
  • Participation in Dyson’s technical design authority (TDA)
  • Working with the End User Computing Manager to develop and deliver short, medium and long term plans for collaboration services that will generate a significant, positive impact on profitability and strategic direction, through improved stability, capacity management, quality and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensuring that all the collaboration designs are created within the bounds of Dyson’s policies and any global legislative compliance e.g. GDPR, PCI etc
  • Working with the End User Computing Manager to effectively manage global collaboration risks and issues
  • Ensuring that RDD global areas are enhanced via collaboration solutions in order to support the Dyson product delivery strategy
  • Expertise and experience in communication, workflow and collaboration tools and Enterprise social networking tools

Skills:

  • Expertise and experience in communication, workflow and collaboration tools and Enterprise social networking tools
  • Excellent knowledge of the best available tools, software, applications and systems that support collaboration technologies
  • Deep experience in the O365 suite
  • In depth experience in developing strategies, roadmaps, standards and reference architecture/implementation and support of collaboration tools.
  • Strong leadership business stakeholder and supplier management skills
