Internal Communication Executive - IT

£Competitive + bonus + benefits

We are looking for an exceptional Communications Executive to advance Dyson’s IT story and share important updates with Dyson People. The role is instrumental in keeping people within the IT function and across Dyson on-top of our Strategy, sharing stories that bring to life our culture and communicating news, both good and bad.

Market Overview

We cherish the culture and philosophy instilled by James Dyson and our inventive engineers, while constantly tuning our approach for the reality of a complex, rapidly growing, global business.  We need someone who is not afraid to challenge the norm, who can distil a message, and who pulls off the odd magic trick.  You will need to be confident and quick thinking, guiding our most senior IT leaders and IT people through the daily challenges, while planning for the future.

Function Overview

You should be excited by our technology and relish the opportunity to explain it to anyone and everyone. You have energy and enthusiasm for a fast-paced, results-focused culture, and live Dyson’s problem-solving approach.

  • Reporting to the Senior Manager, Internal Communications, you will support the Dyson IT internal communications programme to inspire our people about Dyson’s technology, philosophy, leadership and performance.
  • You will develop and execute our internal communications calendar, content and platforms of communication - including intranet updates, monthly internal newsletters, quarterly leadership briefings.
  • You will provide counsel to senior IT leaders on the messaging for functional and  organisation-wide announcements and longer term horizon scanning – helping them share news in a factual, enjoyable way with our people globally.
  • You will work hand-in-hand with Group communications to ensure we have consistent internal communications across Dyson.
  • You will report to the communications team on weekly priorities and quarterly objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one to two years of experience developing and implementing internal communications campaigns in a large, fast paced organisation. You will have relevant experience managing campaigns and announcements from start to finish and a few war-stories to share.
In addition you will likely have:
• A Bachelor’s degree.
• Perfect English and a range in other language skills.
• Experience engaging across stakeholders and borders, building lasting relationships
• Ability to influence and engage people up, down, and across the organisation.

Benefits Overview

Dyson monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and pension contributions. Beyond that, you’ll also enjoy a profit-related bonus, generous leave and life insurance. But financial benefits are only the start of a Dyson career. Rapid professional growth, leadership development and new opportunities abound, driven by regular reviews and dynamic workshops. And with a vibrant culture and a relaxed dress code reflecting our engineering spirit, it’s an exciting team environment geared to creativity, innovation and ambition.
