Description

The Consumer Retail Operations Planner for Solutions will provide strong support for the field team to make sure they are getting the tools and resources that are needed to drive success in the shop front. In this position, the Solutions Planner will drive the planning, processes, and ultimately execution of activities that will support the field’s day-to-day activities.

Function Overview

Always evolving, always challenging, our Sales teams are the connection between Dyson and the fast-paced world of consumer and business sales. Across our global markets, we partner all the key players – online and on the high street. Plus, recently our first Dyson store was launched, with many more to come. It gives us a new benchmark for Dyson retail standards – elevating the brand and inspiring new ways to put Dyson technology into people's homes.

Accountabilities

Achieve sales, profit and inventory goals with Sell-out team through the following:

Field Equipment Management and Fulfillment

  • ·        Definition and deployment of processes around sourcing, procuring, and fulfilling field equipment needs (ex. Laniars, Apparel, Cleaning Kits…)
  • ·        Oversight to field demo product/sample product processes including centralization of all requests, approvals, fulfillment, maintenance, and replacement
  • ·        Maintain inventory of all field issued equipment
  • ·        Assess go forward needs and priorities and make best recommendations to field leadership
  • ·        Audit of all equipment needs on a regular basis; management of financials related to field equipment and demonstration product

Events Support         

  • ·        Partner with marketing team re: the definition and fulfillment of demonstration equipment needed for key events (ex. Smoke boxes)
  • ·        Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, labor leadership and reporting and analytics to make sure that appropriate equipment, staff and measurement pieces are in place for the event.
  • ·        Partner with Marketing to oversee events dashboard and confirm “closed loop process” from Event approval, execution and after action ROI assessment

Field Tools (Software) Support

  • ·        Work with field leadership to assess software and tools needed in the field to drive and support day-to-day activities (ex. Scheduling, registration…)
  • ·        Partner with appropriate vendors or internal resources to scope, develop, and deploy tools to the field
  • ·        Train the field on tools
  • ·        Assess tools performance

Merchandising and Inventory Support

  • ·        Partner closely with the Graphics Team (who owns Fixture deployment, Break/Fix and Continuity) to support visibility and action to keep fixtures in full operation in the shop front
  • ·        Reviews cases alongside Graphics team and helps with resolution
  • ·        Oversees Archway inventory system reporting and visibility to inventory levels and needs
  • ·        Makes recommendations for additions to the warehouse to support the field
  • ·        Partner with Graphics regarding overall management of the warehouse, disposition of aging inventory etc.

Onboarding and Transition Management

  • ·        Works with cross-functional team to define overall onboarding process including checklists, systems setup and “day in the life” of new hire (based on role) over first several weeks of employment
  • ·        Oversees onboarding process working closely with field leadership, zone coordinators, HR, IT and other key stakeholders to make sure we provide an exceptional experience for new Dyson employees

Key Meetings Support

·        Work closely with zone coordinators and office administrative support personnel to help coordinate and oversee planning, logistics, scheduling and successful execution of key Sell Out meetings

Ongoing Partnership with Sales and Marketing Teams

·        Partner with the field sales team to share results in a meaningful way, relating to their roles

·        Seek consensus and approval from internal stakeholders for proposed plans; negotiate with accounts to achieve company's best position

·        Partner with accounts to help understand how sell-out teams are driving their business

·        Provide executive summaries for leadership team to understand high level sell-out performance and drivers

Skills

·  Bachelor’s degree preferred; business major preferred

·  2+ years in an administrative support role

·  Retail experience preferred

·  Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook required

·  Strong organizational skills required

·  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

·  Strong communication skills required
