Continuous Improvement Manager
Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) Operations in Singapore is responsible for the manufacturing of Dyson’s digital motors that go into Dyson’s end products. Dyson’s digital motors and the associated technologies are the core elements that are critical to the success of our end products.
With impending expansion and introduction of new products, we are seeking a strong and technically competent candidate to head Lean and Six Sigma program in Singapore and be part of the team to drive innovative solutions to business requirements.
You are expected to play a significant leadership role in Dyson Digital Motor Operations in Singapore.
Not too far away is West Park, our flagship advanced motor manufacturing facility where we develop our autonomous robotic manufacturing capabilities – more than 300 robots assemble our Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) here. It is here that we develop our next generation of motor technology.
The candidate is responsible for leading and driving overall Lean/Six Sigma function in Dyson Digital Motors (DDM) as part of its continuous improvement plan to improve operational and business performances.
This is what we need you to do...
Establish continuous improvement function in DDM with focus on deploying Lean/Six Sigma methodologies as part of the business plan.
Establish structure, programs, systems and procedures to drive and institutionalize Lean/Six Sigma in DDM
Provide strong leadership and, together with the respective functional teams, deliver improvements in operational, quality and business performances through Lean/Six Sigma programs. Programs implemented must meet sustainability requirements.
Be the dominant subject matter expert in Lean and Six Sigma
Develop training programs to train and coach employees with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies, including the creation of internal certification programs.
Provide strong leadership and execution of Lean/Six Sigma projects.
Work with RDD, suppliers and external parties to drive and implement Lean/Six Sigma improvement plan.
You should come with a Degree/Post graduate Degree in Engineering or equivalent discipline, and a minimum 5 years of continuous improvement management experience with core competencies in the area of Lean/Six Sigma. You need to have strong and demonstrated track record of significant achievements in leading and executing Lean/Sigma programs in a global manufacturing organization. We need you to be Six Sigma black belt certified (by independent certification body) with hands-on experience, as you are required to developed Lean Six Sigma training package, and to conduct LSS courses and certification. You should come with strong ability as change agent with demonstrated ability to influence change for results. It will be helpful if you possess strong technical competencies in engineering, business and continuous improvement processes in a high volume manufacturing environment.
