Description and Requirements

The role reports to the Database Manager and its primary focus is managing G&P’s digital copy assets across all our product in-box literature and packaging. The role requires working alongside key stakeholders in the business to ensure that the assets are legally approved. Other responsibilities include: development of projects, defining scope and timings, and controlling day-to-day priorities. This role is operationally driven, but technically focused.

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Function Overview:

For a Dyson engineer, breaking the rules is part of the job. It’s what makes our products different. But the next great Dyson idea can’t change the world from a lab. To ensure our machines can be sold, there are some rules we need to stick to. From reviewing initial concepts to testing final components in our accredited test laboratories, our Compliance and Approvals team is a critical voice during the design phase. By making sure Dyson product are never kept off the shelf by global standards and legislation, we play vital role in supporting the growth of Dyson.


  • The role is the global link between RDD, Commercial and Manufacturing teams; managing copy assets for all our deliverables across a broad spectrum of stakeholders.
  • The position is responsible for the creation and management of copy assets. This includes requesting translations and ensuring that the copy adheres to relevant standards and compliance regulations.
  • Working alongside business stakeholders; ensure that the content is approved, consistent with the Dyson style and delivered on time without sacrificing quality.
  • Work with agency proofreaders and markets simultaneously to ensure that the translations created from the Master copy are accurate and fit for print.
  • Develop effective communication and strong connections with our stakeholders, to ensure that the approval process is smooth and efficient.
  • Be pro-active in driving a mind-set change specifically related to process improvement.


  • Experience of working in a busy team with a strong emphasis on delivery.
  • Knowledge of Digital Asset Management systems.
  • Be able to think/work systematically, with a meticulous eye for detail.
  • Experience in managing multiple projects and delivering on time and to brief.
  • Experience working as a proofreader with strong knowledge of English grammar would be beneficial.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own workload.
