Dyson has committed to investing £2bn on the electric vehicle. Of that, £1bn is on battery technology as we continue to developing new technologies. We’ve started building an exceptional team that combines top Dyson engineers with talented individuals from the automotive industry. The team is already over 400 strong, and we are recruiting aggressively.

This role will work cross functionally with Research, Design and Development and IT. You will help to enable the design and build of repeatable analytics solutions, and to help drive innovation through proof of concepts and underlying capabilities.

Accountabilities:

  • Engage with business teams to understand in detail their specific needs; Solve the challenge of integrating disparate sources of enterprise data and information to model and visualise their businesses and derive insight;
  • You will develop solutions and processes to deliver the right level of data quality;
  • You will have the opportunity to work on projects at a strategic, tactical and operational level;
  • Develop and maintain long-lasting relationships with senior partners, both during and outside of project delivery;
  • Supporting a data design work-stream in an agile delivery or on a large-scale ‘waterfall’ delivery project for an enterprise data warehouse or reporting solution
  • You will lead the design of the architecture for an on-premises or cloud-based, data warehouse, or data solution; this could cover several technologies, countries and lines of business
  • Lead and Assist in the further development of our capability through proof-of-concepts; and own the data architecture capability and further develop the team

  • You will be responsible for the definition of data architecture components for information management solutions to facilitate storage, integration, usage, access, and delivery of data assets across the enterprise
  • Produce and approve architecture diagrams for enterprise data solutions
  • Crafting conceptual, logical and physical data models using data modelling approaches (e.g. 3NF relational, Kimball dimensional) in standard modelling tools
  • Designing the data integration architecture based on solution requirements e.g. real-time, near real-time, batch
  • Support, define and lead work packages that deliver elements of an information management solution e.g. data warehouse, data mart, ETL service, operational data store
