Market Overview

Our Singapore story began in 2004 and today we have more than 1000 people working here. At the beginning of 2017 we opened our new, state of the art, Singapore Technology Centre in Science Park I, minutes from Singapore’s technology and start-up community. This new Technology Centre houses some of Dyson’s most advanced facilities including Robotics and Sensors laboratories and Smart Home, Connectivity & Mobile Applications laboratories as well as an Advanced Control Tower with the latest technology to develop its analytics-driven activities.

Not too far away is West Park, our flagship advanced motor manufacturing facility where we develop our autonomous robotic manufacturing capabilities – more than 300 robots assemble our Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) here. It is here that we develop our next generation of motor technology.

Function Overview

When you invent something, the right technology to support it often doesn’t exist. So we make our own. As our future products rely more on robotics, connectivity, and complex sensing and navigation technologies, our high speed electronics will stand us apart. From designing the hardware to the systems that make Dyson machines as reliable as they are intelligent, our electronics engineers are central to our most pioneering RDD.


  • Design and develop the mechanism concept - mainly in plastic and overmould part
  • Cross team work with tooling, validation, material, performance team to assess the design component,
  • To generate input for DFMEA, PFMEA via limit rig testing
  • Design for manufacturing - such as generate Poke Yoke feature, tolerance stacking
  • To perform part approval process, including spray painted part
  • To buy-off test rig, production jig setup
  • Report design status and brief development time plan


  • Engineer with upto 5 years of experience
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Product design background will be advantageous
  • Able to do hand sketch and work independently
  • Possess knowledge on injection molding and metal stamping
  • CAD Experience (NX, Solidwork or AutoCAD)
  • Good communication and presentation skill
  • Creative and able to think out of the box
