Description

We are looking for a Digital Marketing Sr. Manager to lead the Digital Analytics function for Dyson in the US. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and implementing measurement strategies that align with business objectives; producing meaningful marketing KPI dashboards and delivering performance reports with actionable insight.

This new role will report to the Head of eCommerce & Digital, with a dotted line in to the Global Head of Direct Analytics. The successful candidate will take all the available data across Dyson.com, digital marketplaces, retail.com, digital media and overall sales & marketing data to come up with clear, actionable insights that helps drive our business goals.

The Digital Analytics Sr. Manager will also be responsible for building and managing the digital testing roadmap across all our product categories. This role requires closely collaboration with product category, ecommerce and direct, and leadership teams across the US and corporate headquarters in the UK. 

Market Overview

Dyson landed in the US in 2002 and within 24 months our technology was market share leader. Our bustling HQ is based in the historic Montgomery Ward Building, overlooking the Chicago River. Just west of the city in Aurora, our dedicated US Customer Care team now numbers 160 people. And in total, there are over 600 Dyson people working across the US in multiple functions.

But Dyson US is still growing. It’s poised to double its footprint and take on new categories. Already a target for our competitors, challenging times are ahead. And our battle-hungry US team are truly fired up.

Function Overview

Accountabilities

Campaign measurement strategy

  • Identifying business objectives and advising on suitable measurement strategies
  • Benchmarking performance across all online channels and advising on KPIs
  • Using methodical performance analysis to influence/support campaign strategies

Reporting and Analysis

  • Developing custom marketing dashboard concepts based on business needs and goals
  • Reporting on key metrics, analysing and interpreting trends and providing actionable insights based on available analytics data
  • Analysing the effect of different online and offline channels on each other and developing and implementing innovative strategies for improvement and growth
  • Analysing online user behaviour, conversion data and customer journeys, funnel analysis and multi-channel attribution
  • Performing ROI analysis to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of different marketing campaigns
  • Performing ad-hoc analytics and conversion optimisation consultancies and influencing conversion optimisation strategies with solid analytical data

Advanced measurement methods

  • This role is responsible for working with corporate office and agency partners to develop advanced measurement models and capabilities, by leveraging best in class methodologies (advanced attribution models, media mix models)
  • Responsible to report on performance, insights to all levels of the organization

Partner with digital & direct teams as well as category, corporate analytics teams to deliver comprehensive view of performance and insights

  • Ensure close collaboration on campaigns, paid, earned and social media strategies
  • Develop and execute testing roadmap
  • Responsible for building a culture of continuous learning through on-going testing, measurement and optimization across digital

Live the brand, foster a culture of team work and collaboration

  • Be an active subject matter expert on all things digital analytics
  • Support and mentor team members

Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 7-10 years of digital analytics experience with a major eCommerce brand
  • Experience working with major online retailers required
  • Must have experience working with a transactional website
  • Experience working with industry standard analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics etc. required
  • Experience leading analytics teams and driving actions and insights across functions
  • Agency experience optional, but prefer some mix of client side experience 
  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong strategic thinking and influencing skills
  • Ability to drive projects from concept through implementation and to analyze post-campaign results
  • Thorough understanding of Dyson’s channels
  • Must have excellent project management skills to coordinate both internal and external resource in a cross-functional organization
  • Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Project brief writing skills
  • Advanced knowledge/ proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook required
  • Experience working with a major Web analytics and reporting tool
