Working as part of the Marketing team, this role focuses on Digital Marketing for Dyson’s Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.

The role reports to the Head of Marketing - HK & Taiwan, based in Hong Kong. This role also has a close working relationship with the Group Digital & CRM team in Malmesbury, UK.

Market Overview

Dyson has made a major strategic expansion into Asia. At the heart of the Asia expansion is the decision to create a strong Dyson team in Hong Kong to support a rapidly expanding business.
 
We have seen a huge growth last year and are looking to replicate this success in 2018 driven by disruptive technology, unique products, strong propositions and perfectly executed integrated marketing campaigns.

Function Overview

The central team is responsible for using the Digital & CRM channels to maximise profitable growth for Dyson, and the main ways in which this is achieved are:
  • Developing the full capability of Dyson’s web sites to achieve 3 key objectives:
    - Brand communications i.e. why Dyson
    - Product information i.e. which Dyson
    - After sales service & support
  • Working with 3rd party web sites - traditional retailers, pure-plays, affiliate partners, price comparison sites, commercial media and social media sites - to maximise Dyson brand awareness, consideration, conversion and customer service.
  • Developing proactive relationships with Dyson owners, thereby increasing customer lifetime value, measured by re-purchase rates, incremental revenue generation and advocacy.

Accountabilities

The main responsibilities of the role include:
  • Strategy – Set the overall online marketing strategy for Dyson’s branded HK/TW web site, which identifies the vision, size of the opportunity and roadmap for development. Set the strategy for helping to maximize the potential of our retailer partners online.
  • Budget – Create & manage the HK/TW online marketing budget, with documentation covering the allocation of spend by activity type and time, and with clear ROI objectives and measurement for each activity
  • Measurement, reporting & analysis – Work with Google Analytics, the Group Analytics team and local digital agencies to ensure that appropriate mechanisms are in place to measure the effectiveness of all Dyson online marketing activities including, but not limited to: measures for site traffic & conversion, display campaigns, PPC activity, affiliate performance, & retailer partner online sales.
  • Dyson web site proposition & functionality – Working with Group, devise a clear roadmap for the development of Dyson branded web
  • Search – Ensure that all activity is measured and that a thorough testing plan is in place. Work with Group to prioritize & implement SEO recommendations.
  • Display Advertising – Work with the agency to develop media plans and recommendations to achieve set up objectives.
  • Media planning & buying – Manage Group/the local media agency to develop & implement creative campaigns that meet clearly defined commercial objectives.
  • Social media – Work closely with the Group Social Media Development Manager and local PR agencies to devise & implement a social media
  • Integrated campaigns – Own the digital element of all NPD and ongoing marketing campaigns.
  • CRM – Work with the Asia marketing, customer services, in-store and distributor teams to identify a clear strategy for customer and prospect data capture.

Skills

Skills & Experience
  • 6+ years’ Digital Marketing experience in HK/ Taiwan – ideally in premium brands
  • 3+ years’ ecommerce and CRM experience
  • Experience in working for international companies
  • Familiar with online marketplaces in HK and Taiwan
