Dyson Area Sales Manager (Modern Trade) – The ASM acts as a leader for the Modern Trade team in Dyson for their Area / City and manages the Dyson relationship with key Modern Trade retailers in their region, the likes of Croma, Reliance, E-Zone and others.
Dyson is establishing operations in India, headquartered in Gurgaon, to launch our India presence. To begin with, there will be a small leadership team setting up the business will full support from the Regional Hub and Group. This team will develop the plans to grow the organisation and build the business. This is an exciting opportunity to create the Dyson India business.

· Business Management
o Responsible for sales in the Modern Trade channel through Shop-in-Shops for Dyson machines in their area
o Target setting and joint business planning with regional managers in our Modern Trade Partners
o Tracking and driving key sales metrics – walk-ins, demonstrations, conversions on a daily, weekly & monthly basis.
o Owning the quality of the demonstrations made by our Dyson Demo Experts in the SIS / Modern Trade outlets
o Generate leads and drive to closure
· Team Leadership
o Lead a team of 10 – 15 Demo Experts deployed at Modern Trade / SIS outlets in your area
o Establish strong field operations metrics to run this team across the city
o Lead from the front. Train and mentor the team, keep the team motivated on an ongoing basis.
o Continuously building technical and sales skills for self and team about Dyson and competitor machines
o Team development and retention
· Customer Experience
o Responsible for strong customer feedback and net promoter score metrics in the Modern Trade / SIS channel
o Making sure that the team is delivering a high-quality machine demonstration
o Managing & delivering a high-quality customer experience
o Ensuring the Dyson space in the Modern Trade outlets is in accordance with our very high Brand standards
- Business Operations
- Provide real time feedback to reporting managers at each stage of the funnel. Support issues to assist team on improving customer experience and product reliability opportunities
- Capture and report any emerging product reliability and safety issues reporting.
- Submit daily/weekly reports
- MBA from premier institute / Graduates with exceptional track record can be considered
- Experience range required is 2-5 years
- Should have had sales people leadership experience
- High level of customer service orientation required—a desire to help or serve others, to identify, meet and exceed their needs and expectations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The candidate must be self-driven, ambitious
- Strong presentation and people skills – managing the team, influencing key stakeholders in the organization
- Strong analytical and planning skills
