Planning and Merchandising Manager - Benelux

As a Planning and Merchandising Manager you will directly impact to the performance of the Dyson direct-to-consumer business; by ensuring a smooth in-store product launches, planning successful promotions at the right time, and by taking ownership of the inventory planning and forecasting, all following from your sound data analysis and reporting.

Function Overview

As a member of the Dyson Direct Benelux Team, you will work closely together with the Ecommerce and the Direct Retail managers, as well as cross functional team members in Finance, Marketing, Operations & Demand Planning. Besides optimizing the current direct to consumer business, you’ll help us set future strategies: eg. whether that’s best done in a Dyson store, a pop-up store or through our website and other digital channels. 


You will be responsible for continuous optimisation of the direct merchandising plans and managing a successful sales calendar execution. You closely monitor stock and sell through, and updates inventory so we’re never out of stock. Selecting the right product range in alignment with marketing, manage and update product SKU info and share this with the ecommerce manager. Your insights into which products perform well, and which don’t, lead you to decide what next step to take, and you’ll take ownership in implementing these changes successfully end to end. 


You’re commercially switched on, and you’ll either come from a similar role, or you could come from a project management, account management or sales management role within retail. What’s important is that you’re a self-starter with strong planning skills, who can take complex information/data and translate that into insights that will have far-reaching impact on our direct-to-consumer business. You’ll need to be fully up-to-speed with SAP / Business Warehouse and Microsoft products, whilst any experience of Google/Adobe Analytics is a big plus. Great communication skills – written and verbal – in English and Dutch are essential. French language skills would also be beneficial but not essential.
