Description and Requirements

Reporting to the Senior E-Commerce Manager - HK/TW, the E-Commerce Operations Assistant Manager will elevate the Dyson brand and drive commerce via Dyson Official Online Store & other online retailers by developing integrated customer experiences using best in class digital strategies and merchandising.

The role and team is based in Hong Kong, and covers Dyson's Hong Kong and Taiwan markets.

Market Overview:

Asia is a key region for Dyson, the growth engine for the future.  Within that Taiwan and Hong Kong represent a significant contribution to this growth and even though we are the market leader across many of our categories, there are big unexploited opportunities for growth. Both markets operate with a distributor model.

Function Overview:

The Dyson Ecommerce team is tasked to bring a creative, innovative and high growth approach to the e-commerce experience direct to consumers and through third party retail channels.

The E-commerce team is in the midst of digital transformation – critical to making our ambitious growth happen.

Accountabilities:

Focusing on the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets, the role requires the incumbent to:

Lead development of online merchandising strategies to drive engagement and commerce on Dyson Online Store
  • Manage profitable promotions and merchandising strategy on Dyson Online Store
  • Identify & implement opportunities to cross-sell and up-sell consumers within the customer journeys
  • Build processes, calendars to communicate Dyson Online Store merchandizing plans to various teams across the organization
  • Develop profitable online programs including eCommerce range planning, promotions, and merchandising solutions to elevate the Dyson brand
Be responsible for delivering the ecommerce financial goals for Dyson Online Store
  • Work with the team to deliver and exceed the growth objectives for Dyson Online Store and the overall direct business across product categories
  • Partner with Digital Marketing Manager and Digital Merchandiser to report on performance, insights and optimizations on a periodic basis to all levels of the organization
Assist in building and executing a differentiated strategy for Dyson Online Store based upon customer insights, product category needs and digital capabilities
  • Ensure that Dyson Online Store delivers a premium experience that strengthens the brand and delivers against transformation goals
  • Strengthen “why Dyson Online Store” value proposition through differentiated ecommerce and merchandising strategies
  • Obsess over the details to ensure Dyson Online Store always sets the standard across the market
Fulfill other duties as required
  • Be an active subject matter expert on all things digital
  • Write briefs for the media agency hub for related promotion or program launch
  • Ensure that all Dyson communications are compliant from an IP, legal & product team perspective
  • Perform QA on all product and offer launches online.

Skills:

  • 6+ years of e-commerce and digital marketing experience in the Hong Kong and Taiwan markets
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Experience working with a major Web analytics and reporting tool such as Adobe Analytics, and Google Analytics 360
  • Experience managing store promotions and merchandising for an ecommerce site
  • Ability to understand the Dyson brand and uphold its integrity
  • Strong communication, presentation, and influencing skills
  • Must have excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate both internal and external resource in a cross-functional and international organization
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Strong written and spoken English and Cantonese/Mandarin is required
