As we rapidly expand, engineering approaches are transforming and we are delivering new capabilities, such as photo-realistic rendering for conceptual products, electronics systems modelling, high performance computing for analysis, and simulation of complex production lines, which are all delivered and supported by the global PLM function.


The successful applicant will help improve the usage of the CFD simulation solutions by working within the IT function and with key stakeholders such as super users to implement and maintain best practice. Providing advanced support and working to deliver significant improvements will ensure Dyson Engineers become more consistent, more efficient and more effective users of the solutions.

Evaluation of current toolsets or new applications to meet changing business requirements will be a key part of this role as well as supporting and developing the Dyson High Performance Compute Solution

You will be working closely with, and reporting to, the CAD Technical Lead who will be responsible for the roadmap that you will help shape and deliver. You will be responsible for delivery of the agreed projects and ensuring advanced support is provided where required.  You will also be working closely with colleagues covering Structural Analysis and other simulation disciplines such as Electromagnetics and Chemical


Your background will be in engineering and will have demonstrable commercial experience with ANSYS Fluent software or other commercial software (can be obtained or partially obtained in a university setting). You will be comfortable and have lots of experience dealing with different stakeholders with a variety of technical backgrounds.

It would be highly desirable if you have experience with Installation and Configuration of ANSYS products in a managed environment and Knowledge or experience of HPC Clusters. Again experience with the wider ANSYS or Similar product portfolio would be advantageous.
