The Enterprise Solutions Lead Architect is a key leadership role within the newly formed Dyson IT Design team and is accountable for the overall design and strategy across the Enterprise solutions landscape used at Dyson today and in the future.

Function Overview

Spanning across Dyson’s presence online, transactional capabilities, customer care, marketing support and the front and back office technology that makes Dyson work, it is the nerve centre of Dyson. The team spans many specialities from Technical to Business Analysis and Testing. Crucially, as we look to drive future growth by increasing direct sales, dyson.com becomes our most vital global sales channel. Like Dyson products, we embrace the latest technologies, excelling in quality and usability.

Accountabilities

The role will be responsible for leading a team of Solution Architects covering design of Dyson’s core Enterprise solutions which includes;

- Core SAP Back Office (ECC) capabilities to include;

o Covering the needs of the existing Sales / Logistics and Finance based design changes
o This includes facilitation of regular design based changes ranging from the introduction of new markets to the resolution of change requests to improve system capability
o Leading the next major design step change for SAP ECC – a move to the SAP HANA platform – a multi-year multi-step business critical step change in the way out ERP capability is provided

• Providing design assurance and oversight throughout the lifecycle of a project
• Ensuring (where needed) appropriate design governance through a pre-established Design Authority
• Defining a future systems roadmap for change founded in the direction the business is taking
• Ensuring the architectural direction and decisions of in-flight projects are aligned to that future roadmap for change
• Where appropriate creation of Supplier RFI’s and support for RFP’s for any future state solution selection

Skills

• A proven track record of enterprise level application design / application architecture is essential
• A proven track record of senior level business engagement / stakeholder management is essential
• Experience of forming or working within an established and efficient design team is highly desirable
• A strong grounding in general technical architecture to include hosting (On Premise & Cloud), storage and networks is highly desirable
• Experience within Enterprise Architecture methodologies (e.g. TOGAF) would be beneficial
• Experience in supporting project delivery involving both in-house and third-party design, development, testing and project management
• Understanding of security principles and policies ensuring these are applied to the design of solutions
• Able to act as a liaison between technical, functional and support functions both on and offshore
• Able to maintain a working knowledge of new technologies and practises to support further innovation for projects

With regards to the Core SAP Solution Landscape;

o Experience of the general SAP solution landscape is essential
o In particular experience of SAP ECC (Back Office) with focus on Sales / Logistics and Finance is also a key requirement
o Experience of the SAP HANA landscape
