 As a Producer / Project Manager at the Dyson CoE, you'll be working closely with creatives and commercial to produce video, imagery, design work and copy for Dyson’s content channels within the European region. You’ll guide content creation projects through from brief to delivery through detailed scoping, resourcing, planning and sign-off processes. This role is responsible for collaborating across Group (HQ), in-market and the CoE teams to deliver best-in-class integrated consumer experiences. This is a very integrated role, however the work has a heavy focus on production across imagery, video, content and digital display and OOH.

Market Overview

Home to our global Research, Design and Development centre and all of our Commercial functions, Dyson HQ is tucked away in countryside famous for the railway tunnels and bridges of Isambard Brunel, who revolutionised modern engineering. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded. Yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath (where a young James Dyson invented cyclone technology).

The building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 1,500 people, including James himself, spend their days developing strategies, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. From 2016, our HQ will begin doubling its footprint with an ambitious new expansion.

Function Overview

The goal of our CoEs, is to deliver the Dyson brand and technologies in a dynamic and consistent way across all our markets, globally. From launching new technologies on the world stage to helping markets deliver local tactical campaigns, we create memorable integrated experiences to captivate and inform both new and existing consumers. Through our digital content, we aim to stimulate positive action in the audience. Whether it be researching our technology, purchasing a machine, engaging with the brand in social, or helping troubleshoot an issue, our creative solutions aim to deliver compelling platforms to build and strengthen brand loyalty.

Accountabilities

The digital producer is responsible for project scoping, project planning, resource planning and management, estimating, workflow management, risk mitigation and delivery management.

  • Take briefs from markets, plan and successfully oversee delivery of digital, film and image brief assets created by the Group Content team
  • Own the production process for the CoE – scheduling work, booking resource, organizing film/imagery shoots, overseeing post-production and making sure delivery is on time
  • Build relationships with brief owners in Dyson global and local market teams and updating them on work in progress during weekly status sessions
  • Be able to coherently argue the case for or against creative work being briefed based on actual requirements, time and resource available
  • Learn a thorough working knowledge of all Dyson systems, review processes and production processes
  • Work with markets to ensure they are following the Group commercial delivery process, including adherence to correct briefing documentation and asset production timelines
  • Ensure that work progresses from brief through ideation, shooting and post-production to be delivered on time and on budget
  • Know the job status on every job running through the CoE team on a day-to-day basis
  • Ensure all members of the team are regularly updated on the status of their projects
  • Has a good eye for detail, ensuring the quality and accuracy of the briefs coming into the team, are exact
  • Manage the accounts system, raising all PO’s for any outsourced or freelance resource
  • Ensure that all estimates are presented and approved before work commences
  • Ensure that any invoices are issued quickly and correctly
  • Identify potential suppliers and 3rd parties for specific in market content development, working with the CoE CD for Europe
  • Work with Regional Planning and Operations Director and the markets to rationalise expansive list of suppliers
  • Oversee Hogarth quarterly performance review, work with markets to optimize the Hogarth utilization in line with Group directive

Skills

Essential Experience:

  • Proven track record of planning and project management - ideally within a digital media, or creative agency
  • Experience of managing video/imagery production processes including shoots and post-production
  • Experienced in working in UK & European markets and various content platforms

Essential Skills:

  • Strong organisation and communication skills - comfortable planning and managing multiple jobs at any one time, prioritizing tasks and workloads
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
  • Ability to interrogate and question a brief with confidence, identifying logistical and practical challenges and pressure points
  • Ability to solve problems and keep a level head in a pressured environment where proactivity is essential
  • Knowledge of project management tools / software
