Events, Marketing and Social Media Manager - Dyson Demo Oxford Street

£25,000 - £35,000 + bonus, pension



The Events, Marketing and Social Manager will develop and deliver all live events for Dyson's direct to consumer retail business, including the delivery of new Mall Demo Stores, and the delivery of the Dyson Demo events calendar. This role will be based out of the Dyson Demo Store on Oxford Street.

Market Overview

Dyson is rapidly expanding; in its new and core categories, and across all of its global markets. The next four years are going to be Dyson’s biggest and busiest yet. By 2020, we'll be hitting £4 billion in revenue. We'll have brought in 5,000 more people. And we'll have launched a further four brand new product categories. With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways to organise itself and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect.

Function Overview

Our Retail teams epitomise the entrepreneurial spirit that has defined Dyson since day one: ambitious, commercially savvy, and strategically agile. We drive innovative ways to put our technology into more hands. It requires managing multiple networks of Dyson people and takes ownership and courage. Being constantly driven to see clearer solutions and drive better sales.


This role will see you take ownership of bringing the Dyson live event strategy to life. You will be responsible for integrating event activity into the annual campaigns across all of our product categories across Great Britain, as well as  co-ordinate support and activity across the wider Northern European team. You will make recommendations for suitable formats, locations, and concepts, to bring key marketing campaign messages to life through experiential and educational events. You will work closely with your internal functions to help integrate social media, digital and CRM with all event activity to build awareness and exposure, as well as increase ROI.


You will have experience of managing multiple projects in a marketing agency or a strong branded consumer business that puts customers at the heart of what they do. You must be a strong and confident communicator, with the ability to deliver your vision to key stakeholders across multiple departments. You will demonstrate tenacity, and you must be ready to take on battles and win through your ability to influence. You will be a creative thinker who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and to take calculated risk.
