The Marketing Manager will enter a rapidly expanding Dyson business at a critical time in the growing, Environmental Care (EC) category. As the expert, you’ll drive the commercial success and product performance of the EC category by planning, leading and executing global marketing projects to shape the future of one of the world’s favourite technology companies.

Market Overview

Home to our global Research, Design and Development centre and all of our Commercial functions, Dyson HQ is tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded, yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath.

The building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 2,000 people, including James himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. In 2016, our HQ began doubling its footprint with an ambitious new expansion.

Function Overview

Bringing brand new technology to life – and to the world – requires inventive marketing. Clarity of message. Vast reach. And engagement in more innovative ways. Working closely with our engineers, our marketeers develop powerful claims through scientific research. And from traditional channels to cutting-edge events, retail experiences, social media and PR, we seize every chance to tell the Dyson story.


You'll collaborate with and pull on the expertise of colleagues in our Group functions (creative, retail, digital, PR, advertising, graphics and packaging), and work with global in-market teams to understand local commercial contexts and influence and execute global strategies.
This is not just proposition development.  Commercial Managers will look at all commercial aspects of their products.

You'll be delivering initiatives that will increase category/product performance (whether NPD launch or ‘in-life’). You'll be expected to communicated cross- function and cross-market.
You'll be launching new products – globally through our in region market teams.

You're focus will also be on maximising the sales potential and profitability of existing products (sell what we’ve got). At times you will be expected to support other projects e.g. helping with go to market, range and launch plans for new territories. And we'll be expecting you to work in the true Dyson way of identifying problems and finding solutions along the way.


We require you to have experience of product or brand management, i.e. simultaneous management of product marketing and communications. You'll need proven experience of confidently manage work through review, plan, creative and delivery. Experience of doing this internationally, and across marketing related functions (e.g. R&D, Consumer Research, Creative) is very preferable.
We'd like you to have strong knowledge of traditional and digital media and have worked with and managed advertising, PR and promotion agencies.
Previous hands-on experience of selling and directly interacting with customers is a great bonus.
