Description and Requirements

The main purpose of the role is to:
  • Adapt/develop and execute Training programs for Dyson and distributor’s sales staff.
  • Lead the development of training effectiveness measures like Mystery shopping.

This role is a standalone position and will focus on Field Sales and Training of Dyson and distributor’s representatives for the Hong Kong and Taiwan market. The role will be based in Hong Kong, reporting to the Head of Sales here, and will require travel of around 25% to Taiwan (could be more in peak season).

The role requires in independent person who can run the whole Training & Field Sales function for both countries. As such, strong communication skills in Mandarin, Cantonese and English will be required for this position.

Market Overview:

Hong Kong and Taiwan are important priority markets for Dyson delivering high sustainable growth. These markets offer high business opportunities and Dyson is uniquely positioned for continued growth. Both markets operate with a distributor model.

Function Overview:

The Sales function is responsible for developing sales plans and driving in-market and in-store execution.

The Training function will focus on driving perfect product demonstrations which are the bedrock of our business. The Field Sales function will focus on driving, incentivising and monitoring field sales representatives to provide the highest standards of product demonstrations and customer service, which would eventually lead to increased sales.


Reporting to the Head of Sales in Hong Kong, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of all store motivational trainings to drive sales volume and brand image in Hong Kong and Taiwan
  • Working closely with local distributors, streamline processes and improve promoter capabilities through consumer interaction activities
    Initiation and orientation of new starters whilst partnering with regional sales managers in identifying local training needs
  • Lead the development and implementation of Mystery Shopping activities to ensure consistency in promoter standards
  • Planning and execution of internal annual training calendar


Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in retail operations with at least 5 years' Field Sales & Training experience
  • Experience within the FMCG, Electronics, Beauty or Tech industry is preferred, hands-on sales experience will be a plus
  • Ability to display strong business acumen and drive key retail KPIs
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English, Mandarin and Cantonese is a must as this role will work closely with local retail staff and distributors
  • Strong people management and influencing skills
