This is a temporary position for circa 6 months to assist our Group VAT Manager with data extraction and data interpretation. 

Market Overview

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Function Overview

Working closely with everyone at Dyson – from sales and finance, to legal, marketing, RDD and more – our Tax & Treasury team develop critical knowledge of the business, and our future plans. Relying on this understanding, and their deep expertise, to ensure that our tax commitments are met, while managing Dyson’s cash liquidity and foreign exchange positions. As custodians of our corporate and legal structure, they also support Dyson operations in territories around the world. And as we grow, this challenge – and the team’s need for dynamic people who don’t shy away from them – grows with it.

Accountabilities

You will be running reports from our SAP system and exporting into Excel. Checks will be run by creating pivot tables and VLOOKUP's to ensure that exceptions are documented and the data is in the best possible shape before handing over to our VAT Assistant.

You will be required to extract, analyse, manipulate, present and interpret large amounts of data effectively.

Skills

We need you to come with advanced Excel skills (e.g. VLOOKUP, pivot tables etc) in order for the data to be visualised in the right manner. Therefore the ability to create VLOOKUPS and pivot tables is necessary. The ability to create macro's would be an advantage.

Full training will be given on SAP with additional guidelines provided.

We need you to have a keen eye for detail with the ability to focus on the task at hand with high levels of concentration to ensure that you can analyse and interpret the data effectively.

We also require a willingness to learn, the ability to manage own time and workload and work towards deadlines and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
