As a Graduate Designer, you’ll be working closely with Designers and Copywriter as a team. You’ll be communicating, individually or collectively, with brief owners, project managers, external agencies to create new contents or adapts from existing assets to meet the brief you are given. You’ll be designing or creating concepts that are always appealing to defined audience – whether it’s a carousel banner or a storyboard for a social video. Shaping the stories Dyson tells and the way in which it tells them. Mixing data, audience insight and creative best practice to ensure Dyson’s content brings our technology to life in a way that resonates with our audiences.

Dyson has made a major strategic expansion into Asia with China as our main focus market for future growth.
The Creative Hub is China’s own internal creative team whose scope of work is mainly focused on digital & e-commerce related creative, with additional film, print, OOH, PR & social media content creation. It is a creative outpost of Dyson headquarters’ creative service team, dedicated to China specific communication needs, whilst reporting back to the Group or APAC Center of Excellence (CoE) through Creative Head to ensure the brand integrity and tone of voice are correctly implemented in the market. The additional reporting line to the Head of Marketing ensures the reflection of local consumer insight, category messaging and digital communication needs while delivering all creative assets.
China creative hub works closely with Group/CoE creative team, China brand and digital marketing team, and local trans-creation/design agencies.

In this role specifically you can expect the following:
- Creating concepts, designing and refining creative contents to meet briefs from different teams or departments.
- On-going support for digital assets creation and localization, including brand/category/product pages on owned digital space as well as e-commerce platforms, banner creation and re-formatting, e-commerce thematic, and promotional creative.
- Support creation/adaption of printed creative when required for OOH, digital, retail POS, social post, events and PR collateral.
- Presenting work to brief owners and stakeholders – articulating ideas and confidently defending proposals with reasoned and evidenced arguments.
- Working closely with other team members to achieve quality work, always maintain creative output standard from China creative hub.
- Uphold brand guardianship across all market channels and platforms to ensure Dyson brand and tone are maintained to the highest quality.
You’ll be part of a larger team so must be able to work with others but be equally as comfortable working independently; managing your own time and project deliverables.
Stakeholders are diverse – internal and external; senior management, technical specialists or other Graduates potentially. They could be based locally or further afield in one of our other 20+ offices so you must be able to build relationships quickly and develop your personal networks
Working in a Global business you will need to be fluent in both Mandarin and English, both spoken and written, and any additional languages would be a bonus
You will have recently Graduated/be graduating from University with at least a Bachelor’s degree, but possibly a Masters level. We are particularly interested to hear from people that studied a degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Advertising or Webpage or UI design.

Excellent Microsoft office and Outlook skills are essential
In this role you will specifically need the following:
Demonstrable experience of designing and crafting high-quality work across multiple channels including interface and graphic design, typography, navigation and iconography – we will need to see your portfolio
General understanding or creative principles and processes, and of digital/e-commerce platforms and UX
Ability to quickly develop an understanding of Dyson, its engineering ethos and visual identity and have good judgment as to what makes good Dyson communication and what doesn’t
Ability to question a brief and highlight key creative challenges or opportunities
Ability to work on multi-tasks, remain calm under pressure, solve problems efficiently, and meet tight deadlines
Interest in keeping up to date with the latest trends and benchmarks across design, digital, social and advertising
Extensive knowledge of creative software tools, e.g. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Video/film shooting and editing knowledge is a plus
