The HR Operations Manager will transform the tactical service delivery of the payroll, benefits, HR communications and data management functions for scaled, seamless and technologically driven operations.


The successful candidate balances operational efficiency with an employee centric service orientation. They approach the work with creativity, technology, business savvy and innovation.


Overall HR Operations responsibilities include transactional activities, administration, record keeping, payroll escalations, data and vendor management, relating to all aspects of the employee life cycle across the Americas region. The team is responsible for multi-country payroll and data maintenance.

Function Overview:

  • Oversee and be the administration backup for payroll, people system maintenance, onboarding and communications to Dyson Americas: US, Canada and Mexico.
  • Assist in the deployment and enhancements of core HR systems and integrations.
  • Scale operations through thoughtful future proof process improvement and governance.
  • Design and deploy a phased in HR operations model for the Americas region.
  • Redesign practices from an employee AND team perspective utilizing user journeys.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Sales Ops, HR, Property teams in solving tactical people issues.
  • Ensure consistent data integrity and treatment across people systems.
  • Liaise with third party vendors to bolster operations and enhance plans and policies.
  • Review and adapt to new legal requirements as it relates to people operations in the US, Canada and Mexico.
  • Collaborate with Dyson HQ teams in harmonizing practices as appropriate.
  • Leverage technology (bots, SharePoint, queuing, etc.) to enhance communication channels with employees so that they receive timely and accurate information that enhances their Dyson experience.
  • Develop the team and provide opportunities to ensure engaged, empowered and productive people who deliver great value to the business.
  • Partner with HR Consultants team and drive wider business needs where HR Operations can have a direct impact: crisis management, safety, communications, upstream/downstream process improvement and systems integrations.


This is what we need you to have:
  • Relevant and strong experience having worked in a global organization, including experience managing a team 
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. Uses data to support every aspect of operational change.
  • Anticipates questions, thinks ahead, plans for contingencies. Finds alternative/practical solutions when ideal solutions are not possible.
  • Advanced excel expertise.

  • Experience using Workday, SharePoint, ADP Workforce Now.
