Description and Requirements

You will lead Dyson’s global employee experience strategy that strives to create a people experience that differentiates Dyson, and is as transformative as our product and owner experience, across the whole people experience journey, in all locations, in order to attract, develop, engage and retain the best talent. 
  • Provide data and insights to People Leadership team, Exec and Board that clearly articulate current position around employee engagement
  • Propose, implement and measure strategies that improve engagement and retention globally, foster success of our people and managers and reinforce a high performance culture

Market Overview:

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Function Overview:

Reporting to the Global Talent and Performance Director, the Head of People Experience will lead a talented team , and partner with global leaders and HR teams , enabling our people and Dyson to deliver our ambitious plans and future aspirations .


  • Understanding and reporting global engagement, using formal (surveys) and informal approaches,report on engagement at Dyson, sharing with People Leadership team and others as appropriate. 
  • Lead implementation of pulse surveys at Dyson covering design, execution, evaluation and communication
  • Devising, articulating and implementing a People Experience strategy, articulate a vision of where we want the people experience at Dyson to get to, and set out a strategy to get us there. 
  • Consulting with the Exec, the Board, and Dyson People, and drawing on relevant data to inform vision 
  • Working in partnership across the organisation to ensure the strategy pulls together all projects that influence the experience of working at Dyson 
  • Devising, articulating and Implementing a People Experience Strategy
  • Championing Dyson values, philosophy and culture to current and potential talent 
  • Lead global engagement plan around new Dyson Values ensuring they are embedded in all people touchpoints 
  • Ensuring that the ‘Dyson DNA’ is well represented and embedded through all People communications and touchpoints 
  • Leading Talent Engagement team to roll out Employer Value Proposition clearly across multiple media


  • Strong track record of leading, designing, delivering & evaluating innovative engagement interventions in a complex global environment  
  • Experience of coaching , facilitating & influencing senior leaders and teams – strategic collaborator 
  • Has led implementation of agile engagement surveys 
  • Likely to have broad HR experiences – ideally across talent, engagement, development, and HR business partnering. 
  • Experience within a global technology, engineering / consumer environment . Exposure to a family owned ,entrepreneurial environment ideal
