We are looking for a Head of Digital QA and Release to take overall responsibility for Quality Assurance and Release Management of the solution

Function Overview

We’ve implemented a completely new commerce system (Hybris) and content platform (AEM) to transform the way we explain our technology, with completely new engaging, interactive visual assets and a purchase journey that outperforms global leaders like Apple and B&O. It’s a cornerstone of our global commitment to more direct sales and a closer relationship with our customers.

At the same time, our existing platform continues to serve our global customer base with commerce functionality, rich support content and customer engagement tools, and forms a core part of our IoT platform, powering our latest generation of connected products.


Accountabilities

You will be responsible for Quality Assurance and Release Management of the solution covering: Functional, Integrated System, Accessibility, Usability, Data Migration, Performance, User Acceptance, Operational Acceptance and Security/Penetration Testing, Deployment Verification and any other audit or compliance requirements such as PCI and DPA. The role will also have the responsibility for the Release of changes into the environments and the path to live.

You are a leader and love that aspect of your job, in turn you will own and develop the test strategy and approach to testing that can be applied consistently across all phases and types of testing required for Digital delivery.
Building and maintaining relationships across the business will be a key requirement for you as our Head of QA and release and you will have to have the drive to not settle for anything but the best.

Skills

You will come from a similar role where leading a team is a passion, your background will demonstrate experience of crafting test plans, processes and documentation to deliver testing in all areas of Digital IT. Defining QA roadmaps, with an emphasis on continuous process improvements and removing inefficiencies whilst testing within a large programe delivering a commerce platform or re-platform will be things you are familiar with.

The ability to converse with non-technical partners but have the understanding to talk technical to technical stakeholders is an essential, it would be ideal if you have experience of working with offshore development / testing teams and knowledge of digital project tools: JIRA & Confluence.


In addition:
-  Experience of an Agile Programme or business as usual QA leadership role, recognising the iterative nature of the testing and what that means for planning
-  Solid grasp of web-based technologies across desktop, tablet and mobile platforms
-  Commercial experience of usability and accessibility testing, and security and PCI testing
-  A proven belief in and understanding of excellent front end user experience
-  Experience of working with automated test tools
-  Strong presentation, training and client facing skills
