As the Head of Retail Sales you will lead the retail execution and sales growth across the UK through our key third-party retail customers, through a direct team of 6, and an indirect team of around 300. You will sit on the senior leadership team within the sales function, and deliver transformational growth across our retail landscape.

Function Overview

The Retail Team is responsible for bringing our engineering, technology and products to life through our third party retail partnerships; increasing brand awareness, brand advocacy and driving conversion. Like everything at Dyson, our retail journey is designed with our consumers at the center. We work at pace which underpins are culture and ability to continually transform our business and retail model. Our aim is to create inspired and highly differentiated consumer experiences that amplify the pioneering technology we make. While pockets of excellence in retail execution exist, there is a clear opportunity to engage our retail partners and Dyson sales teams to raise the overall level of retail execution for Dyson.

Accountabilities

You will engage and empower a direct reporting structure of four Divisional Sales Managers, a National Beauty Retail Manager and an Operations Manager. You will coach these leaders to ensure their teams execute the retail strategy in their business areas, with an overall a team of over 300 including the management structure and Dyson in-store Demonstrators. The role will rely on the ability to manage key stakeholders effectively across a matrix organisation through developing outstanding relationships with others.  You will develop strategies that support the successful launches of NPD, continually seeking opportunities to be the first to do things and be best in class, including driving efficiency for the long term success of our retail presence. This role will require strong operational capability to draw insight and action to enable the team to react at pace to trends as well as pro-actively shaping future activity.

Skills

As the Head of Retail Sales you will have the ability to proactively analyse national sales out data, infrastructure and investment, market trends and competitor information, whilst identifying sales opportunities and anticipating obstacles.  You must be able to use this commercial analysis to develop and lead the execution of short and long term initiatives that add value. You must also be able to demonstrate the commercial value of Dyson to retail partners and effectively build joint business plans to deliver growth. Having flexibility to travel in this role is a must, as well as being comfortable with overnight stays.
