Function Overview

It’s no secret that our intellectual property is massively critical to our success. But how do we keep it from the prying eyes of the bad guys? Dyson’s Cyber Security department works tirelessly to keep our secrets secret and our crown jewels locked up, using world class technologies to stay one step ahead of the game. We think like hackers and try and anticipate their every move, researching the latest threats and exploring every angle. The Security Architecture team design the technology solutions that keep us at the top of our game, refining our processes, stressing our systems, and making sure we’re well honed. It’s a tireless job, but the bad guys don’t rest.

Accountabilities

As a Security Architect, you will not only be responsible for identifying and defining business cases for various security initiatives, but you will also be responsible for delivering high level design, carrying out procurement and vendor selection, all the way through to low level technical implementation and handover to operational teams. You will identify and mitigate risks in order to meet business objectives and regulatory requirements, and then research, plan, design and build robust security architectures. You’ll serve as a security expert in application development, database design and infrastructure projects, helping project teams comply with Enterprise and Cyber Security policies, industry regulations, computer forensic investigations and best practices.

Skills

We are looking for a technically-focused Security Architect that will have come from a very similar role with at least 8 years of IT security experience, and with a broad exposure to security / infrastructure / network design, working across multiplatform environments. You must demonstrate Expert-level knowledge across a number of IT security technologies, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, End Point Security, Data Encryption, Web/Email filtering, Anti-virus, Penetration Testing, Forensic Investigation, IoT and SIEM. You will show experience of supporting Penetration Testing, Vulnerability Assessments and Risk Assessments using best practice risk management methodologies and will exhibit a strong and demonstrable understanding of best practice security controls for market leading technologies.

As an Architect in the Security space we would like to see a Professional security management certification, such as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI), or other similar credentials, including vendor technologies.

Benefits Overview

Dyson monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and pension contributions. Beyond that, you’ll also enjoy a profit-related bonus, generous leave and life insurance. But financial benefits are only the start of a Dyson career. Rapid professional growth, leadership development and new opportunities abound, driven by regular reviews and dynamic workshops. And with a vibrant culture, flexible working hours, the latest devices and a relaxed dress code reflecting our engineering spirit, it’s an exciting team environment geared to creativity, innovation and ambition.
