Be the Single Point of Contact responsible for the management of all information generated by or related to Dyson's Electric Vehicle with a focus on protecting information rights, confidentiality and secrecy.

Function Overview:



  • Lead on the implementation of information and records management arrangements required to support document control and records management (“DCRM”) and produce training material for all project staff.
  • Create and continuously develop processes to support all aspects of the information lifecycle from point of creation through to destruction and to include any transfer and sharing of the information with third parties.
  • Create and develop Information Management Standards that project teams and suppliers can adhere to
  • Ensure DCRM function undertakes the necessary activities so Information is appropriately identified and marked with relevant propriety and security classifications to ensure integrity and confidentiality, as well as working with authors, reviewers and approvers to enable the right level of scrutiny and quality.
  • Ensure that all documents align to agreed Information Management standards, that they are backed up and securely stored, including appropriate storage for physical format information.
  • Monitor information ‘through life’, tracking and recording any document changes and ensuring authorisation and approval for any change, including as required by Legal, Compliance or Internal Audit.
  • Ensure that any agreement with third parties that references or includes the sharing or distribution of proprietary information contains appropriate clauses to ensure control, accuracy and the protection of information and limitation of onward distribution.
  • Maintain a disclosure log, detailing all distribution of material to any third parties.
  • Ensure traceability of information when shared, either internally within the Dyson Group or externally with any relevant suppliers. 
  • Interface with other functional groups within the organisation as required to support the controlled management and distribution of proprietary information.
  • Report on effectiveness of information controls and escalate any risk or incident where proprietary information could have been compromised; work with the internal audit function to co-ordinate any required oversight activity.  
  • Active engagement with Dyson IT and other technology partners aiming to provide technical solutions to day to day Information Management activities.
  • Define a service offering to the EV project focusing on compliance, regulation and added value through Project Management activities
  • Be the single point of contact for regulators and auditors seeking to scrutinise Information Management activities within this part of the business
  • Provide Information Management support to the Quality Management System manager to ensure the auditability and integrity of all Management Arrangements


  • Knowledge of Core Tools & Customer Specifics relating to ISO9001 and related quality management systems 
  • Advanced Product Quality Planning & Control Plan 
  • Product Part Approval Process 
  • Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
  • Measurement System Analysis and Statistical Process Control 
  • Experience in document control system development, launch and implementation. 
  • Experience in QMS implementation and auditing.
  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple tasks and teams.
  • Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing environment.  
  • Proficient organizational, time management and prioritisation skills.  
  • Proven ability to have strong accuracy and attention to detail skills.  
  • Able to carry out complex written and oral instructions. 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good skills in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other office productivity applications.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural, global business environment.
