As we expand geographically, taking on more people and more complex enterprises, our IT Infrastructure department needs to continually evolve to face new challenges. We are the foundation that supports all of Dyson’s global systems and ensure we have the capacity and performance to support the aggressive growth of the business. We span all business functions from finance to RDD and work closely with the Service Delivery, Client support and Cyber Security teams to guarantee the correct infrastructure is in place and operating as expected. We are responsible for all on premise IT infrastructure in our state of the art datacentre in the UK as well as some key cloud systems going forward.
We are looking for a hands on senior technical analyst to help grow and develop a highly successful server and storage team. The job primarily involves 3rd line support of physical and virtual servers and SAN’s as well as both business and IT driven project work. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining SLA’s within the team to ensure our internal customers have a great service experience. We work in a highly agile fashion, allowing our teams, to self-organise and adapt as they need to achieve business objectives. Ideally you’ll be an experienced, hands-on technologist capable of delivering large-scale projects within Infrastructure Operations. Someone that’s happy to work as part of a larger team, whilst mentoring and supporting other Engineers, and collaborating with many different design teams and IT streams too.
We are looking for an experienced Server Engineer who has a proven record in taking a hands on lead approach from a team management and technical view around a windows server & VMware estate and knowledge of the Microsoft product base such as Microsoft exchange, Hyper-V, Skype for Business etc. You will have experience with third line fault repair and vendor escalations and be a problem solver who is able to manage ambiguity and deliver appropriate solutions and have a clear and concise way in dealing with, building and maintaining key business relationships with stakeholders
