The Infrastructure Services function provides outstanding global infrastructure services from detailed technical designs, technical and project delivery through to operational support covering a wide range of technologies. The team ensures Dyson’s diverse infrastructure is maintained and evolves to a level which supports the Dyson business while designing and delivering cost effective world class solutions for the future.

Market Overview:

Our Singapore story began in 2004 and today we have more than 1000 people working here. At the beginning of 2017 we opened our new, state of the art, Singapore Technology Centre in Science Park I, minutes from Singapore’s technology and start-up community. This new Technology Centre houses some of Dyson’s most advanced facilities including Robotics and Sensors laboratories and Smart Home, Connectivity & Mobile Applications laboratories as well as an Advanced Control Tower with the latest technology to develop its analytics-driven activities.

Not too far away is West Park, our flagship advanced motor manufacturing facility where we develop our autonomous robotic manufacturing capabilities – more than 300 robots assemble our Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) here. It is here that we develop our next generation of motor technology.

Accountabilities:

The Infrastructure Technical Service Lead, reporting to the Global Head of Infrastructure Services, will be responsible for:

  • Managing infrastructure daily checks and working with partners to resolved day to day operational issues.
  • Working with partners to ensure that core technical areas of IT Infrastructure Services are aligned with corporate standard and policy.
  • Managing and monitoring infrastructure performance on a day-to-day basis.
  • Managing, responding and resolving to infrastructure alerts.
  • Assisting with the review trend analysis and implementing improvements to reduce cost, increase stability and quality of service.
  • Ensuring the resolution of incidents and requests in SLA.
  • Coordinating resource and demand management.
  • Owning technical problems and major incidents for core infrastructure operations, driving partner to deliver resolution.
  • Acting as SME, response and escalation manager for core infrastructure operations working with partners.
  • Working with partners and security teams to ensure services are secure and compliant.
  • Managing technical change which impacts IT Infrastructure Services ensuring minimal risk.
  • Performing regular DR reviews and tests.
  • Owning hardware and software patching process both automated and manual.
  • Working with partners to maintain and support critical business systems including, but not exclusive to, Microsoft Server products (Windows Server 2003-2012), Microsoft Exchange Server 2010/2016, HP MSA, EVA Storage and 3PAR, Microsoft Back office products (SharePoint, Skype for Business, DFSR), VMware & Hyper-V.
  • Active directory, DNS, DHCP and GPO.
  • Database platforms SQL Server 2005 to 2017, Oracle, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of LAN/WLAN/WAN.

Skills:

Technical Requirements:

  • ITIL level qualification.
  • Microsoft Windows 2003 / 2008 / 2012: Windows Clustering, WINS / DNS / DHCP, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange 2010/2016.
  • Microsoft key products: SharePoint, Skype for Business, Hyper-V, DFSR, SQL Server
  • VMware.
  • SAN/NAS (HP MSA/EVA/3Par).
  • Knowledge of Networking technologies: LAN Addressing, Public IP routing, WAN and replication technologies.
  • Knowledge of database platform technologies: SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL.
