Market Overview

Our Singapore story began in 2004 and today we have more than 1000 people working here. At the beginning of 2017 we opened our new, state of the art, Singapore Technology Centre in Science Park I, minutes from Singapore’s technology and start-up community. This new Technology Centre houses some of Dyson’s most advanced facilities including Robotics and Sensors laboratories and Smart Home, Connectivity & Mobile Applications laboratories as well as an Advanced Control Tower with the latest technology to develop its analytics-driven activities.

Not too far away is West Park, our flagship advanced motor manufacturing facility where we develop our autonomous robotic manufacturing capabilities – more than 300 robots assemble our Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) here. It is here that we develop our next generation of motor technology. 

Function Overview

It’s one thing to solve a problem that’ll change technology forever. But turning that idea into a reality takes solving many more problems – and success is ultimately measured, not by the thinking, but by the product. Our Manufacturing department supports over 1,000 Dyson engineers worldwide turning ideas into groundbreaking technology. Involved early in the design, we identify materials, pre-empt production issues and find ways to build more efficiently. Yet robustly. From designing the machines, to the machines that build the machines, we’re helping to shape the future of technology. 

Accountabilities


  • Apply advanced analytics and identify saving opportunities at component level which could extended to other areas of the business
  • Use of Tableau to produce data visualisation outputs for the business
  • Support the predictive maintenance program: assess the algorithm models


Skills

  • A passion for solving complex problems
  • An inquisitive spirit to generate new ideas
  • The ability to relate and apply concepts learnt at school to the business environment
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain principles
  • Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent Data processing skills, using Excel VBA, SQL, Access, HTML etc.
  • Good verbal and written English
  • Self-starter, able to work independently
