Graduate Inventory Planner
In this role specifically you can expect to manage inventory planning for a variety of products, spare parts & accessories across our network. You will be responsible for stock availability in Dyson direct stores and satellite Distribution Centres; driving the stock balance between these footprints. This presents a real challenge to us - as we need to always improve stock availability but at the same time can experience constraints caused by supply, unexpected product demand and operation capability.
You will get a great opportunity to learn the retail industry and start from a core function in Supply Chain area, which will further develop your data analysis and communication skills.
Dyson has made a major strategic expansion into Asia. China is our main focus market for future growth, delivering a turnover of RMB2billion within 4 years. At the heart of the Asia expansion is the decision to create a strong Dyson team on the ground in Shanghai, where this role will be based. The team is currently 300+ people.
China Supply Chain is focused on providing best-in-class logistics services for our internal and external customers, with high efficiency and cost effectiveness. We have specialised function in planning/inventory, import & export, order fulfilment, warehousing and cross China distribution, which builds us in a strong position as business enabler to deliver growth and profits.

Responsible for Masterdata setup in APO/SAP
Analyse ABC category and balance within stock target
Analyse sales runrate and other cost/LT effective, propose min/max stock days in DCs and maintain in material masterdata
Maintain and review transit route per product & transportation mode
Secure synchronization of masterdata between different system
Responsible for daily inventory replenishment activity
Proceed purchase request in SAP based on stock target and convert into stock PO
Identify stock availability gap and communicate with stores and sales operation to agree upon stock allocation and priority
Settle with warehouse and stores in case any shortage or damage from warehouse/store handling and transportation
Analyse stock healthy in stores and initiate stock re-balance between stores and DCs
Responsible for stock accuracy in stores and follow up with store manager in case discrepancy observed
Create daily/weekly/monthly report to serve business request
You’ll be part of a larger team so must be able to work with others but be equally as comfortable working independently; managing your own time and project deliverables.
Stakeholders are diverse – internal and external; senior management, technical specialists or other Graduates potentially. They could be based locally or further afield in one of our other 20+ offices so you must be able to build relationships quickly and develop your personal networks
Working in a Global business you will need to be fluent in both Mandarin and English, both spoken and written, and any additional languages would be a bonus
You will have recently Graduated/be graduating from University with at least a Bachelor’s degree, but possibly a Masters level. We are open to the subject of study, but are particularly interested to hear from people that studied an analytical, commercially focussed degree subject

In this role you will specifically need strong data analysis skills.
Excellent Microsoft office and Outlook skills are essential
