Description and Requirements

We are currently recruiting for a Junior Cyber Security Analyst to join the ever growing Cyber Security Team.
We will need you to respond to security events and incidents, providing an analytics service to key stakeholders, you will also be involved in actively monitoring and responding to security events. This role will suit someone who enjoys conducting trend analysis on security events and producing reports and statistics.

We think like hackers and try and anticipate their every move, researching the latest threats and exploring every angle. The Security Architecture team design the technology solutions that keep us at the top of our game, refining our processes, stressing our systems, and making sure we’re well honed. It’s a tireless job, but the bad guys don’t rest.

Accountabilities:

  • You will support key Cyber security systems ensuring various robust layers of protection including SIEM, IPS/IDS, Anti-Virus, Encryption, Data Loss Prevention
  • You will provide technical security advice to the business, to ensure appropriate controls are in place.
  • Maintain a relevant technical security knowledge base.
  • Keep abreast of security advisories and alerts, information on security trends and practices, and laws and regulations.
  • Confidently follow an Incident Response Plan whilst engaging with key stakeholders.
  • Provide a response service to business users in line with pre-defined SLA’s.

Skills:

  • A good understanding of best practice security controls for market leading technologies (e.g. Cisco, SQL, Wintel).
  • Attention to detail, particularly when focusing on data analytics and reporting.
  • Experience of working with risk management methodologies.
  • Have strong experience with securing Windows environments.
  • Ability to self-manage and prioritise independently.
