Function Overview

Our Sales team epitomizes the entrepreneurial spirit that has defined Dyson since day one: ambitious, commercially savvy and strategically agile. We work with some of the world’s biggest retailers, implementing the most profitable long term business plans and driving innovative ways to put our technology into more hands. It requires managing multiple networks of Dyson people and overseeing many different retail areas – from in store fixtures to online activation. It takes ownership, courage and tough negotiations. Being constantly driven to see clearer solutions and drive better sales.


As the Key Account Manager – Beauty, you will reporting into the National Business Manager be responsible for developing and setting the direction of the strategic sales plans for salons and assisting in retail account(s). You will be responsible for growing current business and generating new business, as well as growing Dyson sales volume, revenue, gross margin and Dyson market share in consumer products in Australia. 
  • Work with an exceptional and passionate team of sales and marketing professionals to build the first ever business plan for beauty and hair care in salons and generate new salon business through networking, generating and following up leads for salon groups. 
  • Support the management of costs to maximise profitability across account portfolio analysing and managing monthly customer volume forecast process account sales trends, promotions, seasonality, distribution changes, NPD and product exits. 
  • Design and deliver first class execution of Dyson plans with Australian customers 
  • Develop quarterly/annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) with top customer groups and support the negotiations of annual terms and commercial agreements. 
  • Shape and influence our strategy for how our products are merchandised and presented in salons. 
  • Present to customers all NPD and execute world class NPD launches. 
This exciting role will have you traveling interstate to develop your salon network with current and potential partners and customers within the hair care and beauty industry.


If you are an experience account manager who has worked with salons within the hair care and beauty industry and you share our passion for beauty, innovation, sales and people this role could be the perfect fit for you! You will also need to demonstrate a strong track record of sales results and successful contribution to a high performing sales team. With your entrepreneurial flair, positive and engaging approach and self-starter attitude, are known for seeing things through to completion and overcoming objections. 

 Additional Skills & Experience: 
  • Demonstrated exposure to senior level account negotiations
  • Financial acumen - budget control, forecasting and understand a P&L 
  • Methodical business planning capability
  • Excellent relationship builder, resulting from a high level of personal and business presentation skills
  • High level of communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong influencing skills
