Logistic Executive

This role will be a Logistics Executive and will focus primarily on Inter-Plant / Inter-PEZA transfers of both finished goods and semi-finished goods from Dyson to Contract Manufacturer and vice versa.  This role will be reporting to Logistics Manager (Arjelyn Tapia).  The existing Logistics headcount of 1 Manager and 2 Logistics Executives are not enough to support Logistics operations and requirements especially there will be significant increase in the volume of incoming, outgoing and inter-PEZA shipments starting 2018.

Function Overview

The Dyson Logistic team in Philippines will oversee all aspect of logistic operations relating to activities in running Dyson’s high tech Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) facility, as well as operations pertaining to the manufacturing and exporting of finished goods produced by our contract manufacturer in Laguna in the Philippines.   


  • Build relationships with Contract Manufacturers (CM) and Freight Forwarders, and act as liaison between our CM and the Dyson Supply Chain for any day to day operations issues and escalation to group when it comes to Sea or Air freight shipments

  • Ability to resolve and escalate critical issues

  • Will focus on the inter-PEZA / inter-plant transfers from Dyson to CM and vice versa but will also have opportunities to handle outbound and inbound shipments. 

  • Contributes or even leads specific (simple) continuous improvement projects

  • Responsible to own specific responsibilities on behalf of the logistics operations team

  • Ensures goods are shipped out on time and receipted on time and in good condition

  • Ensures Dyson systems (paperwork) are accurate and updated on time

  • Management, development and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (associated with Ocean Freight traffic globally)

  • Maintains tracking of (air) freight spend, reporting and managing costs to minimum and providing reporting to exec team

  • Manages ad hoc quotes

  • Systems - SAP / EDI / Elementum

  • Process / continuous improvement

  • Projects

  • Interacts with CM, Dyson markets, planning and freight forwarders on frequent basis


  • Familiarity in Logistics operations (outbound, inbound and inter-PEZA shipments) and in the local regulations (i.e. BOC, PEZA, etc…)

  • Has experience in handling inter-PEZA / inter-plant transfers

  • Energy, integrity, positive attitude, self-directed

  • Personal drive, delivers strong operational results and specific projects under pressure

  • Communicative, and able to build cross-functional relationships

  • Set structure, drive data analysis with team to support the category

  • Excellent Analytical skills to drive cost down, organise ad-hoc quotes, support simple negotiations

  • Customs documentation awareness preferable

  • Simple negotiation / procurement experience would be preferred

  • Experience of SAP ERP and APO

  • Commercial bias

  • Experience of working in multi-national / multi-lingual teams minimum 3yrs

  • Excellent understanding of Supply Chain Dynamics

  • Excellent communication skills in English written and verbal
