Description

The GB&I supply chain is responsible for delivering Dyson products, across 5 different categories, to all major retailers in the UK & Ireland. This role will involve processing and following orders throughout the orders’ ‘life cycle’. From ‘order receipt’, through to co-ordinating deliveries into customers’ warehouses, ‘despatch’ and ‘invoicing’.

Please note this role is a 9 month fixed term contract.

Market Overview

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Function Overview

The GB&I supply chain is responsible for delivering Dyson products, across 5 different categories, to all major retailers in the UK & Ireland. We do this by working closely with our third party logistics provider; ensuring the standard of service is always high, to match the expectations of our retail partners as well as our internal Dyson colleagues.

Accountabilities

• Process customer retail orders
• Booking and processing deliveries of orders into customer warehouses and liaising with shipping companies to ensure timely delivery of orders, and resolving delivery issues where relevant
• Awareness of the stock availability and liaising with the sales department and Inventory or Demand managers regarding stock allocations.
• Meet with sales account managers bi-weekly to discuss sales orders and delivery queries.
• Resolve customer queries within 24 hours
• Collate data as applicable for departmental key performance indicators 
• Identify problems, flag to relevant stake holder and propose solutions where possible.

• Excellent knowledge of Excel
