This Logistics Manager position manages Dyson’s domestic logistics operations.  This includes supervising Dyson’s logistics service providers and working with both internal and external customers on problem resolution as it pertains to logistics operations and transportation.

Function Overview

Logistics supports the organization through detailed logistical analysis and reporting. It is the role of the Logistics function to ensure customer logistical compliance, provide operational support to Dyson’s third party logistics providers, and to provide support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between Dyson, our customers, and our warehouses. Logistics also helps investigate and resolve customer accounts receivable disputes.


The Logistics Manager is responsible for continually improving service while looking for ways to reduce costs through process improvement and standardization across Dyson’s US logistics operations. 

Essential Job Functions, Duties and Responsibilities:

·         Ensure compliance with customer logistical requirements

  • Monitor, document, and communicate any changes to retailer routing guides
  • Analyze and maintain customer master data information
  • Monitor and report Dyson’s performance against retailer KPIs, including investigation of variances

·        Provide logistics operational support for special projects executed with Dyson’s 3rd party logistics providers

  • Work cross-functionally with Dyson internal teams to determine the scope, timing and requirements of a project
  • Document all steps in the project and determine an estimated labor cost for the execution of the project
  • Review project with 3rd party warehouses to ensure plan is properly executed, timelines are met, and project is completed in line with the budget
  • Recap status of all current and upcoming projects to warehouses and Dyson’s internal management

·         Provide support for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) between Dyson, our customers, and third party warehouses

·        Investigate EDI issues resulting from syntax errors and other routine problems

·        Assist local and UK EDI team with investigation and resolution of technical issues

·        Support set up of new customers including assisting UK EDI team with EDI set up and testing

·         Audit logistics reports for validity and reasonableness; identify potential problems and proactively formulate solutions

·        Analyze and summarize logistics, operations, and freight costs; investigate and report what’s driving any significant variances to budget

  • Bachelor’s Degree – required
  • Logistics or related experience – 5 years required, 7 years desired
  • Strong computer skills, including MS excel and SAP
