This position is responsible for launching, supporting, enhancing and testing MES applications used in SEA. The analyst will primarily be working with shop floor application. This position requires the ability to understand business processes and the sharp problem solving skills to support systems.

Additional responsibilities include: Support existing applications, train end-users on new functionality, and provide written documentation. The position requires a strong self-starter who is able to manage multiple competing priorities on a daily basis. Strong communication and administrative skills are a must.

This is an opportunity for an experienced MES Specialist to join a rapidly developing and constantly growing cutting edge consumer goods business. Dyson are expanding its footprint in SEA and are looking for experienced staff to take Dyson through it's next stage of growth.

Function Overview

The team will be fully responsible for the site’s Manufacturing Process business analytic. It will work closely with the SEA offices in Singapore and Malaysia to achieve all its deliverables.


  • Process and requirement analysis
  • Specification of changes and extensions regarding the MES standard modules
  • Coordination and alignment of changes and extensions regarding the MES standard modules with all relevant business functions and the involved MES software vendors
  • System design based on MES standard modules
  • Customizing of interfaces to ERP and shop floor data sources (machine PLCs e.g.)
  • Acceptance tests of rendered services and implementations
  • Documentation and training of MES functionalities for MES
  • Leadership of release and patch management activities
  • 2nd level support of manufacturing related IT systems including coordination of the involved system vendors


  • IT experience with a Manufacturing Execution System
  • Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Manufacturing process knowledge in highly-automated and semi-automated environment.
  • Deep understanding of logistics processes
  • Familiar with Lean Management methods
  • Excellent knowledge of Inspection Planning and SPC methodology
  • Excellent knowledge of machine control systems (PLC, robot control systems)
  • Experience in the specification, implementation and administration of shop floor IT systems
  • Experience in SAP will have an advantage
  • Experience in employee training, including creation of training manuals
  • Project management skills
  • Communication and presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of English language
