Today, its digital motor powered cordless vacuums, robots, Airblade hand dryers, bladeless fans, humidifiers, purifiers and heaters are powering its growth in 75 countries around the world. 2015 saw the addition of Jake Dyson Light to the portfolio, and in April 2016 Dyson took its biggest leap yet, revolutionizing the world of health and personal care with the launch of the Dyson Supersonic™ Hairdryer. 

 

Dyson is rapidly expanding; in its new and core categories, and across all of its global markets. The next four years are going to be Dyson’s biggest and busiest yet. By 2020, there will be 100 new machines, 4 new product portfolios and Dyson’s headcount will have doubled. With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways to organize itself and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect.

Accountabilities

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Strategic Thinking and Executional Delivery

  • Network with key stakeholders at Group to develop the sales and marketing plans, and execution model, and educate colleagues on the needs and behaviours of Mexico market

  • Develop strategies in partnership with counter-parts to deliver both in-store and online sales

 

Deliver business results (volume and revenue) and profit

    • Ensure the consistent development marketing strategies that drive the business to meet business goals and objectives

    • Drive effective channel strategies and range strategies with retailers/distributors to maximise and optimise Dyson profitably in line with market goals, and expand channels at the right pace

    • Determine and manage:

      • Dyson spend on marketing per year per market

      • Product range, SKU and Line-up

      • Retail executions, store experience and counselling

 

Manage business to maximise profitability and reduce variability

  • Establish strongest possible commercial relationships with key customers & local agency partners

  • Work closely with key retailer partners

  • Develop Category Management approach where possible

  • Manage total costs to maximise profitability, and overheads competitively in line with P&L plans

  • Oversee management of key partnerships

  • Build appropriate channel differentiation strategies and deliver multi-channel profit optimization

Marketing & PR

    • Build relationships with Group to support the local requirements for Mexico, and gather support to overcome any market challenges

    • Establish strong relations with the Commercial team to launch the optimal product range for Mexico

       

       

      Fulfill other duties as required

    • Relish the opportunity to pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role

    • Fix things that you can see need fixing

·  10+ years of work experience in Mexico as a marketing leader

·  Bachelor’s Degree required; preferably in Marketing, Advertising or Business Administration, MBA preferred

·  Fluent in both Spanish and English languages

·  Experience with consumer products (hard goods) and/or retail is desired

·  A CPG background is strongly preferred but would be open to non-traditional CPG experience such as electronics, beauty, lifestyle marketing experience, specifically with an understanding of the premium / luxury market

·  Experience managing P&L, media and budget required

·  A leader of people able to energise and build a team to deliver ambitious growth targets while managing some ambiguity

·  High level of communication skills both verbal and written

·  Excellent team leadership abilities
