We’re looking for the next generation of creative problem-solvers; as a graduate engineer at Dyson you’ll be using your technical and creative skills from day one to help us develop revolutionary new technologies.
In 2000, Dyson moved production from Malmesbury to Malaysia to be closer to our supply chains and open up international growth. The small team of 10 has now grown to almost 1,200 – forming Dyson’s second biggest global hub. Located in the exhilarating industrial heart of Johor, it’s also home to RDD, IT, operations, finance, creative and HR. The RDD facility is central to our plans to launch 100 new machines in the next four years. To meet these ambitions, we recently expanded the site to 30,000m², with 50 advanced technology labs and 700 new engineers. In the Dyson world, there’s no more exciting place to be.

As a graduate engineer at Dyson you’ll be using your technical and creative skills from day one to help us develop revolutionary new technologies. That means working in our high security offices, alongside experts in your field, using cutting edge machinery. But innovation isn’t easy. As a mechanical or design graduate engineer you could be supporting our New Product Development team, Technical Development team, Test team or even one of our secret projects - wherever you are you’ll be expected to explore solutions relentlessly, persevere through failure, and search for answers in unlikely places. You’ll need to be thoroughly hands on, practically applying your technical knowledge with a creative flair to ensure that all engineering problems are resolved thoroughly. This means championing great design to produce products that meet all performance and functional criteria all whilst challenging and developing Dyson engineering practices to continuously improve. You’ll be part of a 4,500-strong global team of engineers and scientists from a broad range of disciplines. It’s a place for inventors and creative minds who thrive on challenging convention. We’ll support you with a full induction, learning about Dyson's global business, meeting senior stakeholders and networking with your new colleagues. Technical induction follows to provide understanding of processes, technologies and safety; setting you up to contribute fully in your role.
The Graduate Programme is competitive so you’ll need to be academically strong and have the right to work in the country of your application. You’ll be studying a technical degree, such as: product design, design engineering, design and innovation, mechanical engineering. A passion for technology is essential. You’ll be able to evidence how you have applied technical knowledge to solve problems either through your studies, own projects or extra-curricular activities. As you’ll be contributing from the start you’ll be hungry to learn and ready to get stuck in to make an impact. Above all, you’ll want to play a key part in bringing the next generation of Dyson technology to the world.
