Each New Product campaign is vital to the success on our ecommerce platform. Not only because they contribute to numerous sell outs but also it is a big opportunity to raise brand awareness through massive reach. This makes online merchandising crucial. You will be responsible for ensuring that the online creative tools -  carousels, banners, pages etc. -  follow Dyson visual guidelines, at and are adapted to online behaviour.  

Market Overview

Dyson has made a major strategic expansion into Asia. China is our main focus market for future growth, delivering a turnover of RMB2billion within 4 years. At the heart of the Asia expansion is the decision to create a strong Dyson team on the ground in Shanghai, where this role will be based. The team is currently 300+ people.

Function Overview

Online is an important aspect for Dyson in China in terms of both marketing and sales.  The Digital & eCommerce Department is headed by Digital & eCommerce Director, and supported by two equally important pillars:  the digital marketing team and the ecommerce business development team.  This united team is responsible for contributing 50% of the sales revenue and all marketing activities across internet.

-By  the end of 2017, over 50% of Dyson China business was harvested online, this calls for extraordinary expertise in online merchandising.  Maintaining a perfect product page is of vital importance to Dyson.

- As a merchandising graduate, you will support the User Experience (UX) Manager working with the brand team, in-house & external designers. Supporting in the delivery of  product and campaign visual assets across multiple ecommerce platforms.

- Support UX manager to maintain product detail pages including product name, price, promotion mechanism, contents, etc. according to the activity calendar.

 - Ecommerce platforms include, Tmall, JD, YHD, Amazon, Wechat, Suning, Guomei, OCJ, etc), support on taking daily brief in, prepare for revalvant visual and assets, carousel, banner, page go-live throughout all devices (PC, mobile, app, wechat, pad, etc.)

- Learn how to use ecommerce analysis platform especial for TM and JD. Tracking the most important KPI of page performance.


- You will work with the Digital Analytics manager to monitor page performance, compiling useful information to feedback to the brand team and creative hub.


  • You’ll be part of a larger team so must be able to work with others but be equally as comfortable working independently; managing your own time and project deliverables.  

  • Stakeholders are diverse – internal and external; senior management, technical specialists or other Graduates potentially. They could be based locally or further afield in one of our other 20+ offices so you must be able to build relationships quickly and develop your personal networks

  • Working in a Global business you will need to be fluent in both Mandarin and English, both spoken and written, and any additional languages would be a bonus

  • You will have recently Graduated/be graduating from University with at least a Bachelor’s degree, but possibly a Masters level. We are open to the subject of study, but are particularly interested to hear from people that studied a degree/majored in marketing, e-commerce, advertising, graphic webpage design or UI design.

  • We are an innovative technology company, making a broad range of product and so an understanding of what we do, and what makes us different, is advantageous

  • In this role specifically you will need to be data driven, and display excellent project management skills

  • Excellent Microsoft office and Outlook skills are essential
