Function Overview

To the commercial lawyers and procurement specialists who solve our toughest business challenges across the world.


Provide leadership for Information and Records Management (IRM) Policy to support good information management practice and document control (within a Quality Management System) to support regulatory compliance.

You will need to;
  • Lead the development and maintenance of Global IRM Policies including the Global Retention Schedule
  • Define accountabilities and responsibilities for the management of records and information
  • Educate, influence and support key business stakeholders to ensure their awareness of Global IM Policies and the effective management of their information assets, including advising on opportunities for improvement
  • Develop performance measures that demonstrate effectiveness of Global IRM Policies
  • Act as Senior Supplier (as appropriate) to all organisational change programmes that impact or affect information that is disclosable through regulatory and legal processes
  • In collaboration with the IM Process Owner for Research, Development and Design, ensure that Information Management is embedded in all product development processes
  • In collaboration with IT Services, ensure that technology solutions (for the creation, capture, management and handling of information) are aligned to Global IRM Policies
  • Support the management and resolution of risks and issues affecting information and data
  • Provide leadership of the eDiscovery and Disclosure service in response to legal/regulatory requests for information
  • Manage and Develop the team (4 FTE) including objective setting and performance review


  • Minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent
  • Qualification or Professional Certification in Records Management/Document Control
  • Minimum 10 years relevant experience
  • Experience working in a global context, ideally in manufacturing and equivalent sector
  • Experience of Document Control within a Quality Management System (QMS)
  • Experience managing a team, including development and mentoring of others  
  • Able to build strong, productive relationships
  • Strong communicator; able to articulate complex and challenging concepts to diverse, global audiences
