Description and Requirements

You will be creating and developing demonstration methods, tools and assets to support in-store demonstrations for existing and new products. You will be working within a team a of retail experts (concept design, marketing, training and operations) in conjunction with our commercial teams and engineers to bring your ideas to live across Dyson Direct Retail and 3rd Party Retail.

Market Overview:

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor..

Function Overview:

Our brand identity and appearance at retail is also critical to the shopper experience and the success of our direct and controlled environments. You will be responsible for managing visual compliance around the world, ensuring that no matter where the experience is, that it reperesents Dyson’s brand standards.


  • You will work in partnership with concept design, retail marketing, RDD (engineering) and commercial teams to create & deliver the “wow” in-store demo experience for all new product launches
  • You'll support the mock-up review process and drive the development of the product demonstrations with learnings from mock-up stages/feedback
  • Within this role you will also be the lead contact for all Demonstration aspects of the shopper journey - through concept, delivery, maintenance and review, working closely with the wider Retail and Commercial teams to ensure success.
  • In a culture of continuous improvement, you will regularly gain feedback and insights from experts on what they need to deliver a more engaging and compelling demonstration (regionally)
  • You will share insights with the concept design team to ensure new thinking and learnings are being incorporated into future demonstration designs and retail concepts
  • You'll also work in partnership with Research and Design, and external agencies to discover new technologies and innovation to bring to life our machine stories and demonstrations


  • You will come from an environment where you have been responsible for creating Product Training assets, and directing your business on how your products should be demonstrated in retail
  • You'll have the ability to create detailed briefs and insights documents when working cross-functionally with Retail Marketing, Engineering and Commercial teams
  • With a strong background in consumer insights, you will be able to present your findings and make recommendation on how to best engage with shoppers
  • You will have excellent time and project management experience, and be able to deliver projects to time and to cost
  • As with Dyson Engineers, you will be solutions focused and you will be able to challenge convention
  • Store concept development and fixture development experience is beneficial
