Three years ago 80% of Dyson’s business was full-sized vacuum cleaners. Today, its digital motor powered cordless vacuums, robots, Airblade hand dryers, bladeless fans, humidifiers, purifiers and heaters are powering its growth in 75 countries around the world. 2015 saw the addition of Jake Dyson Light to the portfolio, and in April 2016 Dyson took its biggest leap yet, revolutionising the world of Beauty with the launch of the Dyson Supersonic™ Hairdryer.
Dyson is rapidly expanding; in its new and core categories, and across all of its global markets. The next four years are going to be Dyson’s biggest and busiest yet. By 2020, we'll be hitting £4 billion in revenue. We'll have brought in 5,000 more people. And we'll have launched a further four brand new product categories. With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways to organise itself and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect.
Product Owners build strong relationships with market stakeholders, benchmark against external stimulus and trends whilst gaining insight from user testing, Adobe Analytics and Adobe Target testing tools etc. – all feeding into the roadmap and continuing the evolution of our digital products.
As drivers of transformation – the Product team often lead initiatives, filling gaps to achieve our goals and demonstrating where organisational change is needed. As such, Dyson Product Owners must be flexible, confident self-starters, problem solvers, enjoy removing blockers and be very comfortable with change!
Offering the payments types customers want to use is a huge conversion driver. We plan to implement 50 new payment types around the world. As product owner you will be a driving force in the project – being the voice of the customer and the commercial team on this significant project
Whatever your assignment, your role will be hands-on. You’ll shape requirements, prioritise backlogs, sign off user stories and acceptance criteria, and work day to day with many of our in-house teams
Product Owner experience or Digital Project Management
Experience of delivering payment solutions, omni-channel would be preferable.
Experience of working in agile scrum
A positive and impactful communicator
Ability to make pragmatic decisions about business priorities in a fast-moving environment
Excellent commercial acumen, comfortable with numbers and basic analytics
Comfortable speaking to both technical and non-technical teams
Confidence to make clear and well-thought recommendations to influence decisions
And be super passionate about the web, technology and customer experience.
