At Dyson, the Project Management role is increasingly in demand across its research and development projects; as products become more complex and cross-functional teams get bigger, it is imperative for the project management team to grow alongside Dyson’s growth to ensure our products are delivered to market on time. It’s an exciting time to join Dyson’s Project Management team. The Project Manager role must ensure that all of Dyson’s teams are aligned to the top level strategy of the projects and are delivering against the agreed time lines. The PM is also required to work closely alongside the Heads of Departments to communicate project status, escalate risks and propose project solutions to keep the project on track.
Our Singapore story began in 2004 and today we have more than 1000 people working here. At the beginning of 2017 we opened our new, state of the art, Singapore Technology Centre in Science Park I, minutes from Singapore’s technology and start-up community. This new Technology Centre houses some of Dyson’s most advanced facilities including Robotics and Sensors laboratories and Smart Home, Connectivity & Mobile Applications laboratories as well as an Advanced Control Tower with the latest technology to develop its analytics-driven activities. Not too far away is Singapore Advanced Manufacturing Centre, our flagship advanced motor manufacturing facility where we develop our autonomous robotic manufacturing capabilities – more than 300 robots assemble our Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) here. It is here that we develop our next generation of motor technology.
The Project Management team is responsible for leading the integration of key functions across a multi-functional team in the development of new Dyson products. The role will ensure stage-gate deliverables are met in a timely manner and have a sufficient level of understanding of the development to be able to communicate the projects status to senior management, whilst being comfortable in challenging the paradigm where required. The Senior Project Management Function will work across all disciplines of design, procurement, manufacturing, commercial and marketing to ensure an integrated project delivery aligns to the wider business strategy.
Management of all projects’ top level plans – including all functions e.g. Engineering, Electronics, Operations, Commercial:
•Ensure top level project plans are managed and reported clearly and effectively
•Have knowledge of critical dependencies and understand the critical path of all projects within the Category
•Ensure risks are monitored, escalated and mitigated accordingly across the portfolio Leadership and Direction of the Functional Teams
•Ensure collaboration between teams delivering to the project plans
•Act as an enabler and remove blockers for the teams to complete work against their plans
•Adherence to milestone dates, management of project dates and change reporting
•Monitoring of project risk register and issue logs
•Stakeholder management at every level of seniority

•Candidate must at least possess Bachelor Degree in Engineering / Project Management
•Experience of managing projects in an R&D project environment

•Experience of managing large scale, complex projects
•Good understanding of Project Management processes and knowledge areas
