Description

As a Regional Development Manager you will drive product sales and build awareness of the Dyson brand within our retailer's stores. This could be your first step into leadership and further hone your relationship building skills. Regionally based you will work closely with our National Account Managers, Marketing and Finance teams to ensure Dyson’s sales strategy is delivered across the Peak District.

Market Overview

Dyson is rapidly expanding; in its new and core categories, and across all of its global markets. The next four years are going to be Dyson’s biggest and busiest yet. By 2020, we'll be hitting £4 billion in revenue. We'll have brought in 5,000 more people. And we'll have launched a further four brand new product categories. With this pace of growth, these ambitious plans, and the complexities of global expansion, it is natural that Dyson is now thinking about the best ways to organise itself and manage its exciting new product ranges to best effect.

Function Overview

Dyson machines work differently to others. So those who sell them need to think differently and understand complex engineering. Our Retail Sales teams are experts who bring the retail world up to speed. Training. Introducing our new technology. And ensuring the Dyson brand stands out. We gain deep insights into competitors and customers alike, driving national sales strategies to bring Dyson technology into more stores and homes. It’s an energetic team in a fast-paced retail environment. And like everyone at Dyson, we constantly challenge how to make future technology even more successful.

Accountabilities

The successful person will be responsible for driving sales value growth and brand awareness across the Peak District by building brand advocacy and strong relationships with our retailer colleagues in store.

Where we demonstrate, we win. You will lead a team of Dyson Demonstrators in-store, motivating, coaching and ensuring the compliance strategy is executed. There is a requirement to work at least two weekends in any four-week period.

Skills

Proven sales background within a Retail or B2C environment. Experience of working to and exceeding targets. A skilled negotiator with brilliant presentation skills. You'll thrive in a fast-paced environment, leading others, building relationships and solving problems. Commercially-minded, you'll enjoy having big strategic conversations as well as getting stuck in to make things happen, and you'll be comfortable thinking on your feet and finding your own path. Previous experience of managing or leading a team would be advantageous.

This role will cover postcode areas; S, HD, SK, M, OL and BL.

Benefits Overview

Dyson monitors the market to ensure competitive salaries and pension contributions. Beyond that, you’ll also enjoy a 20% bonus, fully-expensed company car and fuel card, lunch allowance and 27 days annual leave.

But financial benefits are only the start of a Dyson career. Rapid professional growth, leadership development and new opportunities abound, driven by regular reviews and dynamic workshops. And with a vibrant culture, flexible working hours, the latest devices and a relaxed dress code reflecting our engineering spirit, it’s an exciting team environment geared to creativity, innovation and ambition.
