As a Sales Graduate, you will be a long-term asset to the organization, growing alongside the business in China. A rotational programme, you’ll be hands on, interacting with customers, demonstrating our technology, then learning how the Sales organisation functions how to lead in a Sales team environment.
Dyson has made a major strategic expansion into Asia. China is our main focus market for future growth, delivering a turnover of RMB2billion within 4 years. At the heart of the Asia expansion is the decision to create a strong Dyson team on the ground in Shanghai, where this role will be based. The team is currently 300+ people.
Sales is an extremely important function in Dyson China. With our unique brand proposition, we set sharp target in terms of channel and retail choice, of which direct retail, department store/mall shopping channel is definitely a priority as we can set great brand equity/image there via strong counter presence and in store demonstration in front of our shoppers every day.

To help you understand Dyson and set you up for success in your role you can expect a through Induction when you start and a personal Programme of Development for the first 2-3 years. This will equip you with the professional skills needed for a long term career at Dyson.
This role will support Dyson’s direct stores or department stores or Shopping Malls, starting up from being an in-store demonstrator, grow to be a supervisor then to be a regional sales executive to support Business Development Managers from sell in to sell out. We will develop your potential and you’ll have the opportunity to be a Sales Manager in future.
In this role specifically you can expect a rotational programme building skills and knowledge along the way:
Product knowledge (2 months) - Confident with demonstrating products with 2 months’ prior experience of this
Sales experience (3 months) - responsibility in Counter operation, Demonstrator management and Event planning and execution
Business Development Manager support (6 months) –Experiencing New store opening, Retailer meeting preparation, Event/ VIP class execution
Moving into a dedicated Sales role, best suited to your experience by the second year
You’ll be part of a larger team so must be able to work with others but be equally as comfortable working independently; managing your own time and project deliverables.
Stakeholders are diverse – internal and external; senior management, technical specialists or other Graduates potentially. They could be based locally or further afield in one of our other 20+ offices so you must be able to build relationships quickly and develop your personal networks
Working in a Global business you will need to be fluent in both Mandarin and English, both spoken and written, and any additional languages would be a bonus
You will have recently Graduated/be graduating from University with at least a Bachelor’s degree, but possibly a Masters level. We are open to the subject of study, but are particularly interested to hear from people that studied business degrees in and/or can show business acumen through previous internships.
