The Senior Marketing Manager will enter a rapidly expanding business at a critical time in the fast growing, personal care category. As the expert, you’ll drive the commercial success of the category by developing and applying a deep understanding of how to market and drive the commercial success of the personal care category for one of the world’s favourite technology companies.

Market Overview

Home to our global Research, Design and Development centre and all of our Commercial functions, Dyson HQ is tucked away in the Wiltshire countryside. Our secluded location helps us to protect our ideas and stay independent-minded, yet nearby are the fashionable cities of Bristol and Bath.

The building is the heartbeat of Dyson. Over 1,500 people, including James himself, spend their days strategizing, inventing technology and telling the Dyson story to the world. In 2016, our HQ began doubling its footprint with an ambitious new expansion.

Function Overview

Working closely with our engineers, our marketeers develop powerful claims through scientific research. And from traditional channels to cutting-edge events, retail experiences, social media and PR, they seize every chance to tell the Dyson story.


As a Senior Marketing Manager you’ll take ownership for providing effective cross-functional and cross-market leadership and coordination for the personal care products/projects. You’ll collaborate with and pull on the expertise of colleagues in Group Commercial functions (creative, retail, digital, PR, advertising, graphics and packaging), and work with global in-market teams to understand local commercial contexts and influence and execute global strategies. You will be supported by Commercial Execs, to keep the operational side of projects on time and running fluidly.

You’ll build in-depth understanding of the global commercial context for the category via review and analysis work with in-market Brand Managers and pre-empt future threats to the category to build action plans to combat findings. Build broad overview of market by market promotional needs, activities and results, to define a global best practice strategy. Work with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to understand and ensure optimisation of global volume needs and stock position.

This is not just proposition development. This role will look at all commercial aspects of Dyson's products: ranging, pricing, distribution, promotional strategy etc.


The ideal candidate will have thrived in a fast-paced environment and come from the health and beauty personal care industry with a passion for technology. You’ll have excellent experience of leading others and managing work through virtual teams to create and deliver. You'll have proven experience of doing this internationally, and across marketing related functions (e.g. R&D, Consumer Research, Creative) very desirable. You’ll have excellent experience in product or brand management and a thorough knowledge of traditional and digital media, having worked with and managed advertising, PR and promotion agencies.

You’ll be self-motivated, have demonstrable influencing skills to lead others and a nimble, creative thinker who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and to take smart risks. Driven by a desire to win and strive for continuous improvement.
