Description and Requirements

Reporting to the Global Commercial Director - Professional, the role will be based at our Malmesbury Head office and be a key member of the Professional Group Marketing team. Strong relationships are essential between Group Marketing and our key regions: GB&I, EU, the Americas, Asia, & distributor markets, to ensure that business objectives are met by all parties

Market Overview:

Dyson HQ is home to over 3,500 people who work across a medley of engineering and commercial functions. The award-winning campus has three cafes, a sports centre and a number of engineering icons including our Harrier and Lightning jets – one of which hangs from the ceiling of our café. Based in Malmesbury, the campus is within easy reach of both the Cotswolds and cities like Bath and Bristol along the M4 corridor.

Function Overview:

This is an exciting time for the Professional business unit of Dyson. In 2017, the business unit expanded to add Lighting and Consumer categories to the established Hand drying business. The Professional business unit spans all these categories selling in over 26 countries. Over and above the Dyson objective of ‘solving problems that others ignore’, the Professional vision is to; ‘deliver amazing technology experiences to existing and potential owners outside of the home’.

Accountabilities:

  • Define, prioritise and lead a digital transformation within the Professional business to include SEO, paid search, social media, Dyson web assets, ecommerce strategy and email. 
  • Engage teams globally with this vision.
  • Lead the business’ knowledge and understanding of the latest digital technologies and make recommendations about how they can deliver improved business performance to Professional markets.
  • Demonstrate a solid business understanding, ensuring that the outcome of the digital transformation and marketing investment ultimately supports business goals.
  • Motivate and manage the digital team direct reports to ensure high performance, that they are experts in their field, trusted by the business to deliver great work at all times.
  • Measure lead generation through digital channels

Skills:

  • Demonstrable experience in B2B digital marketing and advertising. B2C experience would be a plus. 
  • Strong ability to work with and influence external agencies and managing performance.
  • Experience of leading a digital team with a very commercial outlook.
  • Experience of working across differing global markets.
  • Excellent grasp of social media and website metrics and best practices.
  • Knows how to deliver campaigns through LinkedIn, Facebook, Google and Salesforce. 
  • Demonstrable experience with email marketing, lead generation and SEO. 
  • Advanced knowledge of HTML required.
  • Occasional international travel will be required.
