Senior/Electronics Engineer – Image Quality Engineer is part of our dedicated optical and image quality team within electronics hardware team with responsibility to ensure good and reliable image quality from the camera system through rigorous IQ (Image Quality ) test as well as involve in manufacturing and calibration process of it with supplier. .

Our Singapore story began in 2004 and today we have more than 1000 people working here. At the beginning of 2017 we opened our new, state of the art, Singapore Technology Centre in Science Park I, minutes from Singapore’s technology and start-up community. This new Technology Centre houses some of Dyson’s most advanced facilities including Robotics and Sensors laboratories and Smart Home, Connectivity & Mobile Applications laboratories as well as an Advanced Control Tower with the latest technology to develop its analytics-driven activities.

Not too far away is West Park, our flagship advanced motor manufacturing facility where we develop our autonomous robotic manufacturing capabilities – more than 300 robots assemble our Dyson Digital Motor (DDM) here. It is here that we develop our next generation of motor technology.

Function Overview

From designing the hardware to the systems that make Dyson machines as reliable as they are intelligent, our electronics engineers are central to our most pioneering RDD.


  • Conduct iterative design verification,  product validation test and production testing, including identifying image quality root causes and proposing of solutions for degraded imagery
  • Prepare technical and process reports by collecting, evaluating, summarizing data and trends

Develop image quality test methodology from component to system level (lenses, lenses with sensors and images from camera systems).
Responsible for develop, implement, evaluate, and report image quality as it pertains to camera system optics, sensors, ISPs and the combination thereof.
As part of camera optical team to develop & implement of camera and optical module with focus on image quality development and verification.
Also responsible for designing and developing improved manufacturing processes with camera module supplier to maximize image quality.

  • Possess a strong command of written and spoken English

Highly motivated person with good communication skills and able to work within a teamMS (or BS with industry experience in related field) Electrical Engineering, Color Science, Optical Engineering or Photo Science 3-5 years of industry experience in camera systems product development, on-schedule, from conception to production. Thorough understanding of image quality metrics and evaluation methodology, familiarity with megapixel CMOS image sensor technology, and be familiar with imaging algorithms (auto-exposure, auto white balance, auto-focus, ...etc.)Strong knowledge in image processing techniques in relation to the development of cameras products, including calibration processes, image quality metrics, optical testing and test tools development Experience with objective camera bench testing and subjective image quality analysis.
Capable to deliver high quality results within tight time deadlines
